I'm currently celibate, but I'd use condoms for a one-off fling, or get on the pill if in a relationship.

I've been on the pill in the past for health reasons (PCOS) and felt no ill effects but I know of some people, like my sister for instance, who felt really weird hormone imbalances affect things like her natural lubrication and mood no matter which kind she tried.

I'm using Natural Family Planning (tracking ovulation) and pull out. Just got off the phone with my Dr for Implanon.

I'm on Implanon now which is a little rod or something inserted into my arm. My husband is getting a vasectomy soon though, so I'm not sure if I'll stay on some form of birth control or not once we're cleared not to use any.

I used to be on the Depo shot, but needed to get off of it. At the moment, we just use condoms. I've contemplated getting on the Implanon.

I had the old norplant years ago and I had very bad bleeding for 11 months. Then I had issues with getting it out because it had moved. The nice doctor then ripped the dam thing out of my arm along with some fat. He wasn't really nice about it. I am not certain about this new one. Thank goodness that the basket has been removed!!!

I'm on the pill right now and don't mind it but I've been seriously considering the Essure procedure.

I've used Quasense (generic for Seasonale) for the last 3 years. Since the age of 12 I've been on depo, four other kinds of pills and used the Nuva Ring and so far this works well. I really like only having 4 cycles a year.

Master has had a vasectomy: best thing ever! When we play with other people, we use condoms, though.

Pullout is what my partner and I use.
I can't be on the pill because it messed up my blood pressure really bad. I have heard horrible things about the depo and I am sorry they aren't implanting anything into me that can move or grow into place.

This might make some people cringe but we rely on condoms and the withdrawal method because I can't take any type of hormonal birth control.

I have Implanon. I'm fairly happy with it. My periods were pretty crazy at first, but I now get them at somewhat regular intervals (about every 2-3 months). It has improved my cramps a lot also.

My wife was on birth control pills when we used birth control, but she complained about them causing weight gain. After our last and final child I had a vasectomy so she wouldn't have to worry about birth control.

I'm currently on the Depo shot and I have to say that I love it! The first few months were a bit difficult, I had some intense mood swings and a lot of spotting. I think this was probably because this is the first type of hormonal bc I've ever been on.
But now it's just fantastic. I don't have to think about or worry about bc, it's just there. Constantly. I get a shot (in my ass) once every 12 weeks, and I don't have to think about it any other times!
Because I am a bit on the paranoid side, we pair this form of bc with condoms, and then I know I'm 100% covered.

I have an IUD and I love it. This was after my bod reacted badly to all the hormonal methods I tried, and then it was condoms.
No problem with the IUD, but I do have periods.

I'm on a monophasic pill. When I tried a triphasic pill, I went crazy. It's been tough finding a method that worked and didn't make me extremely moody and depressed so I do love my current method.
