What is your bra size?

I'm a 36J, but will be have a reduction soon, and will then be a 36DD. That will be a LOT easier!

For the most part, the wire is only uncomfortable if the bra is the wrong size, usually too small in the cup, unless you are particularly sensitive in that area. You would probably do better with a smaller band/bigger cup combination, but you could be wearing the right size and just be really sensitive. When I was off of my BC for a couple months, I was so tender during my period and ovulation weeks that I had to go to the bathroom and rip the wires out in the middle of work. I've been up to a 36K, but I'm usually more in the I-J range, and I only have wires hurt if the bra doesn't fit.

I wear a 40DD but think my cu size would be bigger if I ever get measured cause those bras barely fit me and sometimes they are uncomfortable...

Sports bras are a lifesaver, when I do have to wear a bra for certain occasions it just makes me feel uncomfortable! I also have to use an extender (you can buy them from a fabric/craft store like joann's) because they don't make a size 38 band in my cup size.

Depends on the bra and how it fits. Okay, so this is sort of gross, but I'm going to go ahead and put it out there. I wouldn't mind if my boobs were bigger, and wish there was a way to transfer fat from another part of your body to your boobs. Or a way to take the extra "boob" from someone's breast reduction and use it to give someone else a breast enlargement. It's sort of like recycling. It would also make it so you wouldn't have to get implants of other materials. Just saying, we've come so far in science in other areas it seems plausible.

Lucky you for getting to be twins with Christina Hendricks.

I'm a 30HH-J (and much less statuesque than she is).

Well, now...many women actually DON'T know their correct bra size. I admit it, I was once a VS Bra specialist for about three years. I still recall the tall woman that came in one evening asking to try on some 38B bras. I could tell from looking at her that her band was smaller and cup bigger than she was wearing, and guessed her to be a 34D. She didn't want a fitting, and I did get her the bras she wanted and put her in a fitting room, but also asked her to try on a 34D, just to humor me. She came out AMAZED at how well it fit, and how she'd been wearing the wrong size for so long, and thanking me for talking her into trying it!

However, in your case I suspect the employee was wrong. The measurements don't always work correctly, because they're based on your ribcage measurement vs. your bust measurement. If your bust volume is not distributed just the right way, you'll measure smaller than your actual cup size. I suggest finding your band size first, then trying on a couple of cup sizes to see which is most comfortable and best-fitting. You shouldn't have to shorten the straps way up to get support! Also, you may wear different sizes in different brands or different styles.

Oh, and these days I'm anywhere from a 34B to 34C to 36B, depending on brand...and some days, almost a 34D. Darn things won't stay one size!

Yes! Don't put them in the dryer! If the padding is getting ruined in your washer, buy a bra-washing bag--Tide makes a great one--or handwash them. It's a little more of a hassle, but it'll save you lots of money.

I used to work for VS, but am quite disillusioned with them and their awful advertising, so although I love some of their lines, I don't shop there anymore. I've been shopping at Aerie for a couple of years now, and their prices are much better, while the quality is very similar (if you're a small- to medium-sized woman).

32D. I think I might be a 30DD if I could find it offered anywhere, but even 32D is hard to find. The US bra size system is such a joke-- I don't think anyone who isn't a 34-36 B or C can find a decent bra anywhere.

By the way, for any ladies who think they're wearing the wrong size, please feel free to message me if you'd like fitting assistance via the interwebs! My friends love to take me with them bra-shopping, because I get them into the right size. One friend had thought she was a 36A all her life--only to learn, with my assistance, that she was really a 36C!
