What do you do when you have cramps?

I usually take a hot shower, some ibuprofen, or both. I have also found that working out REALLY helps - I think it's the endorphins! Does anyone have any special things that help them?

Midol, heat, a nap. Usually if the pills don't help I just tough it out. Oh the monthly joys of being female, ugh.

Discovered that taking naproxen (Aleve) the day that it's supposed to start, as well as continuing to take it as recommended that first day or two, really helps. Although mine isn't that clockwork, so I take it as soon as I feel either a twinge or find the first faint stain.

I literally just lie still until they pass. I don't get them much and I don't like taking pills.

I use a heating pad and ibuprofen.

I masturbate and sleep.

Taking analgesics and other pain meds while you're on your period can actually make the next month twice as bad. So I avoid them at all costs.

I usually cry... a lot lol they get really bad but I've just never gone in to get on birth control because I'm afraid it will mess with my anti-depressants

Ibuprofen 400mg! I get godawful cramps and it works for me within about 20 mins. Thank heavens for medicine!

I just take an Advil liqui-gel. To have less cramps, it's best not to drink any ice cold beverages during your period, it makes the cramps worse.

Naproxen always works for me. The trick is taking it on time.
