We chart my cycle and then use withdrawal during that week. But if we were to get pregnant it wouldn't be the end of the world.
What Birth control do you use?

You forgot one: Vasectomy. That's what my husband had so we won't have any more.

Withdrawal

I have awful periods so the pill helps control that (and lets me skip them, woohoo!) and prevents babies. Two birds with one stone

I do the Nuva ring too. Only problem is I notice it gives a particular tang (not necessarily bad, but kinda weird tasting) to my vage. I'm bad at taking pills at a regular time each day though, so it's really convenient.

Other! I'm in love with the Nuva ring! It's so easy and my partner hardly notices it.

condoms and family planning

I take a generic brand of the pill and I like it because I never have to have my period again because I don't take the white inactive pills. There's no medical need to have a period. This is also great because tampons are freaking expensive!

I used the pill when I was younger.

I used most forms of BC but now very happily have an IUD. Hormonal methods reacted badly with me, diaphragm was uncomfortable with spermicide, then used condoms.
I wanted an IUD earlier but my gyno was vs using an IUD if a woman did not have a prior pregnancy. It involved much discussion and signing waivers. I just love it and yes my periods may be heavier but they are shorter for me.

I got my tubal liagation 3 months after my second child. It was one of the best things I have ever done, not having to worrie about birth control ever again is great and it was so easy.

I had a hysterectomy in 1989..before that, I was using the pill and condoms with hubby

I chart - which owuld be called fertility awareness or natural family planning, and either avoid sex during fertile time or use a cervical cap (called the FemCap actually)...lately it's more like just avoiding sex since I'm allergic to everything under the sun practically, lol.

I use the pill. I used Ortho Evra for a while but wasn't a huge fan. Condoms before that.

Condoms.
11/05/2012
I take a daily oral pill (Beyaz) to help regulate periods due to PCOS, although my partner and i rarely go without using a condom and he's a master of withdrawal method.

I have the mirena IUD. After lots of discussion with my doctor she felt comfortable giving me one even though I haven't had a child. I love it. I've had it for a little over a year, and in that time I've had maybe three light periods and a couple days of spotting. And the best part is, it doesn't make me insane like the pill did, even the low dose one. Mirena doesn't use estrogen, just a lower dose of progestin for the hormonal element of it. So I guess it was the estrogen that was making me crazy, but even the lower dose pill gave me terrible mood swings. I love the piece of mind of not having to worry about taking a pill every day or having to deal with condoms. I definitely plan on replacing it when the 5 years is up.
