I have never tried to loose weight, but I am pretty good with food. I would keep alot of fresh veggies around the house and get rid of all your junk foods. When you get hungry, snack on the veggies (raw veggies); don't use any dressing, they are filled with fats. If you do not like raw veggies, you could steam them for a few minutes. Also cut down on your starch's and sugars. Maybe just eat one meal a day, and the rest of the time snack on veggies and some fruits. They key is to eat less calories then you burn, but they cant be empty calories; like you would get from junk foods.

Remember, you did not gain the weight overnight; so in turn you cant loose it overnight either.

Reduce soda or sugary drinks, watch portion size, and snack on healthy foods - particularly things with protein, it will keep you feeling full longer.

You could always get a gym membership with a friend and go 3-4 times a week. 30 minutes to an hour and you'll lose slowly and steadily, but not take too much time out of your day.

I dropped about 35 lbs 2 years ago (over 6 months). I got a personal trainer (group sessions b/c its cheaper) for a couple months. She helped me change what I was eating (food journal) and build muscle. I also increased my cardio. Now my taste buds have changed to where the stuff I used to eat doesn't taste good and kinda makes me sick, which makes it easier to keep it off. livestrong.com has a free food journal or I currently use a droid app- my fitness pal (both are free). In general, I calculated my calorie goal and then worked to bring my protein to 30-40% of what I eat (fage greek yogurt is great). Produce is important too!

Definitely cut back - or cut out - the sodas. Over 100 calories per 12 ounce can - if you drink four a day, you are talking about close to 3000 calories a week.

I started losing weight in January. I have lost 23 pounds so far...there have been some ups and down along the way but I am proud of where I am at so far. I have tried to stay away from "quick" weight loss type products for fear that I will lose the weight super quick (yay) but then not be able to maintain it without the product (boo! because that can be unhealthy and expensive). I watch what I eat and exercise. I am also part of a weight loss support group at my local YMCA and love it! It if definitely a HUGE help! My goal was to lose 20 pounds by my wedding and I still have a month left before my fitting so I am hoping to get to a 30 pound loss. Good luck to you!
