How do you track your period? Do you use any calendars, smartphone apps, or just wait till it happens?

I mark down on my wall calendar when my period starts, then mark down a range of days the next month when I suspect I'm most likely to get it again. Mine's not especially regular - it tends to run a bit late.

For fun, this year I got a cycle chart and intend to track it more closely.

I have a calendar on the wall in my bedroom. On the day I start I put a tiny red dot with a marker. It's not fancy but it works.

I just recently downloaded the Period Calendar Deluxe for my BlackBerry PlayBook and have been using it for about a month. I like that I can track more than just my period including my moods and whether or not I had sex that day. I think I paid $3 for it but there is a free version.

I don't/can't really track my period. My birth control makes it a little wacky, so the time spans between periods are always changing. Sometimes they're 3 months apart, sometimes 6 months, and sometimes 4 months. I just have to pay attention for my breasts to start aching, because that indicates that my period will start in a couple weeks.

I've been using wall calendars (and my datebook/diary) since I was 18. Somewhere out there are late-1990's calendars with their days of the month circled every 22 to 34 days (I'm glad it's settled into 27-30 days now). Although it's helped a lot in figuring out why I'd get especially emotional at times and makes things easier for my GYN.

I miss being on the Pill - every fourth Saturday at 3:15p, on the dot.

I don't track mine. I can sense when they're coming on usually a day before hand.

I have a free period tracker on my phone that I started using after I went off of the pill. My period is a little wonky for now since my hormones are getting balanced out so it's nice to keep track of it.

I use a notepad app on my phone and mark the day it started and ended since I have PCOS running in my family and have always had irregular periods. Luckily they have been straighting out lately.

Before my last child was born me keeping track of my cycle was an effort in futility. I had period issues from the time I started having them and would go months without one, but have body wracking cramps that would leave me curled in a ball in tears. An OB/GYN diagnosed me as having a tilted uterus. Peachy. Putting me on BC apparently was as good as putting me on fertility medication because every time I was on it I became pregnant. It was only after the birth of my last child that my body straightened out. Now I know a week before I am so tired I can hardly go and prefer to sleep and hot baths. It matters not how much sleep I have had. The day before I get cramping in my lower back and the next day it comes. Day 3 I call Gates of hell because there isn't a product made that can last past an hour on that day and not enough ibuprofen and heating pads. Day 4 it plays peek a boo. Day 5 and sometimes 6 it gets thinned out and finally stops. During my period I cannot sleep for anything. I know I am weird.

I just write on a calender every month when it starts, then count up 26 days and write on it that it's due then. I've done that my whole life.

I just make a note in my phone calendar when it starts. It's been every 28 1/2 days like clockwork for about 2 years now. (So I usually know what time of day I'll be starting.)

I just got a smartphone and put the period tracker app on it. This is the first month I have used it but like it so far. Otherwise, it is on a calendar
