Being too tight?

Contributor: freshbananas freshbananas
A friend of mine confessed over coffee that she is "too tight", a medical condition her mother passed down to her. It causes her discomfort during sex and her husband doesnt last long and men can't seem to pervent themselves for prematurely ejectualing inside of her.
I've never heard of this, what is it called?
Is there any advice I can pass down to her?

I just Googled "medical condition vaginal tightness" and it came up with a bunch of links for Vaginismus. You could start there I suppose.

If she's uncomfortable with how tight she is, you can recommend a dilator set like this one.

Is she seeing a doctor about it? If not, you might suggest that she do so. It might be embarrassing to discuss, but there are usually ways to help conditions like that. I hope she finds a solution that works.

Let her know that, if she's interested in joining up, us here on Eden would be happy to give her our support. Heck, she has it anyway, really.

Vaginismus is definitely a medical condition. It usually involves involuntary tightness and spasms of the muscles. It can make penetration difficult or impossible. She should definitely see a doctor. Vaginismus is treatable. I've never heard of it being hereditary though. I believe it's often a result of physical or emotional trauma. There may be another condition at work that is hereditary but I've never heard of one. In any case, there's very likely treatment for her condition and she should definitely see a doctor.
