Too much lubrication, and after we're done playing!

I have an issue that is just a minor annoyance, and am curious if anyone else has a similar issue. I find that after sex, I will sometimes continue to ooze a fairly good amount of natural lubrication, sometimes for hours or even all night long. I'm not talking about semen coming out, but my actual lubrication. It will sometimes wake me up several times a night, and I'll have to wipe up. It doesn't happen every time, but pretty frequently. It's not a big issue or concern, but I am curious if this happens to other women.

Do you continue to make extra lubrication, even when you don't need it anymore?

I have no idea what it is but this happens a lot. I'm trying to remember because my doctor explained this but I can't think of what he said. It went in one ear and out the other.

I have a problem with making a huge mess during the act and it's everywhere. It's like yes, there is a thing as too much lubrication, especially when it drips everywhere. I usually go and clean myself up and try to push as much of it out as I can. It can be really uncomfortable to walk around with, you know?

Oh I would love to hear an explanation on it! If I remember, I'll ask my doctor the next time I go in.

Yes, it really can be very uncomfortable and downright annoying! I get aggravated sometimes because I'm trying to just snuggle in and enjoy the afterglow, but I have to keep sitting up to get a kleenex to clean up.

Aside from sleeping on a towel, or showering and using some powder and mini pads after morning sex, I don't think there is much you can do. You don't want to decrease natural lubrication.

Usually during ovulation, your body makes a bit more slippery lubricant, but it makes lubricant all the time, whether you are having sex or not. You just make more, a LOT more during and sometimes after sex.

I don't have much natural lubrication personally. Maybe talk to your gyno?

I have this issue sometimes. Other than extra wiping when I visit the bathroom or wearing a pantyliner, I haven't really found a solution for it.

My wife does experience this occasionally but she doesn't see it as a problem.

This just started happening to me this past year and the mess is really annoying. I have my yearly gyno appointment next month, if I remember I will ask about it.

I get wetter than a tsunami after just some kissing, so yes, this happens every time. I don't see it as a problem--I hope I never have dryness issues!--but it's annoying to clean up after sex and then feel wet (and thus unclean) an hour later because I'm still seeping. Oh well!

Yeah, sometimes I get really wet, especially when I'm horny, and feel like I have to change my underwear a couple times a day. I run out really fast this way though, that's the only thing that really aggravates me.
