I know some people take them to treat a UTI (which I wouldn't recommend) but what about prevention? It seems a pill or two after sex would be added insurance. Does anyone do this?

WOW! I have never heard of honey and blueberries to prevent UTI! I totally love them both, so if this really works, I would be in heaven!

Never heard of cranberry pill's. I'll have to look them up.

I used to do this often. I began taking them after having back to back UTI issues for 2 years; my doctor mentioned the benefits and suggested taking them 3 times daily with several glasses of water at the onset of symptoms. I did this for 6 months everyday and have not had another UTI; it has been more than 4 years ago.

Saved me when I had a reoccurring UTI. I would go to a doctor, get a prescription, take the antibiotic following the instructions to the letter and next week... I was back to square one. Cranberry pills taken with the antibiotic and for a few weeks afterward finally made the UTI go away for good.
I'd definitely recommend buying a pack to those who want to experiment with g-spotting for the first time - especially if they plan to use hard toys.

I take the pills every time I go on a trip. I used to get a UTI every time I had to stay in the car for hours, since the pills it hasn't happened once!

The problem with juice is that in addition to not being really concentrated like extract pills are, it also has a lot of sugar...which as you know bacteria feeds on.

I drank cranberry juice to stave the pain before I could get to the doctor. But since the average juice contains so much sugar, I got a 100% natural cranberry juice (ingredients: cranberry, water, that's all). It was DISGUSTING! Sooooo tart. I would've loved to have had pills like these.

Ahh. I get them so often. It's horrible!
Cranberries and blueberries both have the same ingredient in them that help to keep bacterial from sticking to the inner walls of the bladder and urethra. Pills are good, but juice is better. The pills put that ingredient in your system, but the juice helps in flushing you out as well.
I like the pills because they are really convenient. I can carry them with me when I need to, and not have to worry about running out to the store to get some juice.

I've never had a UTI (knock on wood) but I do take cranberry pills. I try to drink at least 4-5 classes of cranberry. I always get it mixed. I don't too much care for plain cranberry juice

Also, if you don't really like the taste of cranberry, but want to drink juice, try finding some cheap pomegranate juice. They often cut the expensive pomegranate with relatively cheap cranberry juice, check the label. Works just as well, tastes way better!

I dont like cranberries so I drank alt of water and I had a major UTI so I had to go to the doctor to get medicine prescribed to me usually though I constantly drink water to flush it out
