I have heard that you are more likely to get an infection if you have sex in a hot tub or a pool is there any truth to that? what do you think?

I have heard that too. I have lots of fantasies about having sex in the water whether it is the tub, pool, ocean or lake. But I haven't found the reality to be that satisfying. The water washes away my body's natural lubrication faster than my body can compensate for. I get too dry for intercourse to be pleasureable. So now my preference is long teasing forplay in the water and waiting till we get into bed to finish.

It is true. The water is a breeding ground for bacteria, so it increases the risk of infections, such as yeast infections.

Another concern with having sex submerged in water has to do with embolisms in women. This can be potentially fatal.

Sex in the shower is the best way to avoid any issues, but like Gracie says (and so do most other people), water just really messes with your natural lubrication. For him, it might feel really good (I'd love to have a guy weigh in on that), but for her, it just kind of feels tight and wrinkly - one is sexy, one is kind of meh...

I guess I won't be trying it any time soon...lol but would it be the same in a hot tub where the water is hot? and i would think that the chemicals in the water would do something to us. I would love to have a guy weigh in on this too/
