Ever since I started taking bc pills my sex drive has gone from really high to not thinking about sex at all during my daily life. Today though I woke up really overly aroused more than I was used to feeling before.

I am getting low on pills so I'm most likely going to start my period or could be that I'm now taking the few pills that are have a lot less hormones in them so my drive is just temporarily back? Then again I thought it might be because it's almost been a month and maybe my body is getting used to the pills and going more back to normal.

Have any of you had this same experience with your birth control?

I haven't had any issue with my sex drive decreasing, but I have found that /my/ problem with birth control, which is a decrease in natural wetness, does tend to fluctuate. It could be (and hopefully is) that you're stabilizing, but I haven't found that I actually "stabilized" on any of the 5 different brands of hormonal birth control that I've tried. Whatever issues I have in the beginning tend to persist. I really hope that your situation is a different story, though!

No but having my first son, it took me 2 yrs to get it back.

i've always had a crappy sex drive (yes i was on BC but i went on BC when i started having sex so its hard to say if that was the cause of the crappy sex drive or not). but now that we found and watched jason julius's my sex drive is GOOD now if only hubby could keep up.

My wife's sex drive dropped when she got her IUD. She had it removed a few months back and her sex drive s starting to return.

I find that the opposite has happened to me with my IUD, I got the copper non hormonal IUD and my sex drive went from normal to very high, like thinking about boning strangers on the street, sex dreams, etc. Hormones have always been a hinderance for me which is why the copper IUD has been such a life saver, no more crazy monster hormone roller coasters for this girl. But I recently did relay this to my friend who also has an IUD (a hormone one) and she shared the same experience as Thong man's wife, she says her IUD and thyroid pills have killed her sex drive, so i'm guessing this is fairly common. Guess i'll steer clear of that after kids.
