Sex addiction--no, but I am a big believer in being sexually open with yourself and your partner.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say that about half of those things are most often not symptoms or versions of "sex addiction." Consistent use of pornography, frequent one-night stands, prostitution (either being a sex worker or patronizing sex workers), exhibitionism, voyeurism, and more can all be part of a healthy sex life. It's much more about your attitude toward and relationship with those things than it is about participating in the activities themselves. Have lots of one-night stands because you want to and it doesn't interfere with your life otherwise? Good for you! Feeling compelled to have one-night stands and letting it absolutely control your life? Well then, that's a problem (but the vast majority of people don't fall into this category, I'd guess).

Seriously what did I just read?

a. "Many people suffer sex addictions of all kinds, found mostly in women, and 58% of those had been molested by an adult male as a child"

b. "Many people suffer sex addictions of all kinds. In women they found that 58% of those studied had been molested by an adult male in their childhood"

Heck it might not even be one of these! Seriously cowboy, get it together and please get that "but" is not interchangeable with "and" or a comma.

I like to have an orgasm or two every day, but I don't think it's an addiction. I can...I can stop anytime I want! Really.

I think there are very few people who are truly compelled into sexual behaviors. I think there are a whole crapload of people wanting to blame their stupidity on sex addiction.

Why am I masturbating at work/cheating on my wife/hiring a prostitute? Sex addiction. It's not my fault. It's a disease!

There are things I like to do, but it's far from an addiction.
