I voted for the shot, but thats only because its the only type iv tried Other than condoms. And the shot is much more cheaper and convenient than condoms.

The shot seems really convenient and I would probably try it, but I've also heard it can make people EXTREMELY moody or depressed, and gain a lot of weight, which could be really triggering for me.

Other: A combination of the aforementioned birth control methods (excluding the pulling out). I chose in the past to abstain from sex with men as a form of avoiding pregnancy.

Condoms for now. I was on the shot, but needed to get off of that.

Vasectomy for Alan & I but before I met him, it was condoms. I liked getting birth control and STD protection all in one shot

I liked my patch because it was easier to remember. However; it made my breast grow and that wasn't something I needed AT ALL! So, I just had to stop taking it. I'm done with hormonal birth control because it doesn't seem to be doing my body any good anymore.

Read about all of your options! And know what they can do to your body. Then make the decision.

I have had the Mirena placed for 4 years now, and I will for sure be getting another one as soon as this one needs to be taken out. I haven't had a period since I've had it placed and no pregnancy scares!!! So no complaints from me. Some people say that it causes weight gain, but I truly think that is placing blame on something other than yourself. I have gained weight while on it, but I blame it on myself. I have lost 40 pounds this year and it is coming off pretty easy.

I had sex twice in my life with a condom. I know guys hate them, and I, as a woman didn't like the feel either. I immediately went on the pill and was on it till it was time to have a baby. I have never needed/used any birth control since, as we WANTED more kids (which, as it happens, never happened). However, we have a great child and so life is good.

IUD, I don't have to worry about taking pills at the same time every day or scheduling shots, making sure to buy enough condoms. I wish I could just get my tubes tied but I can't find a doctor willing to do it on a childless 25 year old. I had to go through several doctors before I found one willing to insert an IUD without me having had a child previously.

I have an IUD and love it! I'll replace it with another once this one is out of hormones.

I recently got pregnant while using the pill, I've used the shot before for 4 years and it worked great.

The pill. It just feels so much better without a condom.

The pill.
The shot is a gift from the devil.
Condoms are what we use when I'm not on the pill.

Pill. Does wonder for my mood swings too. Boyfriend is super happy now that I don't want to tear his head off for a week out of the month.

The pill has done wonders regulating my body. My period use to come between 1 month to 3 month intervals. I never knew when it was coming and it was very frustrating. I now have one every 28 days , but I know when it's coming

I too had my tubes tied, just over 14 years ago. So glad I did and don't have to worry about using anything else.

I used to be on the shot, but it made me gain like 50 lbs and it gave me skin conditions. So I got off it and am now on the pill.
