The "second" one wasn't painful at all. And so far this one isn't either. The... uhm... consistency of all of them have been very different. And the levels of flow.

You might not want to take birth control, and obviously if you identify as a lesbian, you won't need it for actually preventing pregnancy, but I've been told by many doctors that there isn't much of an alternative to fixing the regularity of your period. I made the mistake of assuming lesbians don't use birth control, and found out my lesbian friend has been on bc for years because of heavy, irregular periods. Which is also the reason I started on bc.
They can remove your baby-making parts and it will stop (obviously), but that's pretty extreme and probably not neccessary. Your gyno will know much more than I do. Hope all goes well for you. Good luck!
