Painful Insertion and a question.

For the last year, I've been trying to dilate my vagina in order to have less pain when it comes to inserting toys. For a little while, everything was going swell, until recently; I bought an Ella a couple of weeks ago and noticed that whenever I'm done using it, I'm a bloody mess afterwards, and it has nothing to do with menstruation; I feel like something has torn.

Now, like an idiot, I waited a week later to try using it again, and now the aftermath was much worse. I feel like I can't really get up and walk and there is much more blood this time. It sucks because during my play session, I felt wonderful, squirted a whole bunch and reached orgasms both times I used Ella. It seems like no matter how long my foreplay session is, or no matter how much lube I use, I end up a painful wreck afterwards.

So I guess I'm wondering if this seems like a situation in which I should see my OB/GYN or is it just that for some dumbass reason I can't handle the non-threatening Ella? (Also, I don't use the pointed end, only the flat end, just in case you were wondering)

The toy itself doesn't seem like it is very thick being only 1 1/4 on an inch. Do you have the same problem with a penis as well? Maybe it's something you're doing with the toy itself and in the long run pretty much digging at an area too roughly and tearing yourself? I've never had this problem myself and I've have toys thicker than 1 1/4. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help I guess my best suggestion would be make sure you're using them right and/or check with your OB/GYN.

Yeah, the toy is thin and I have thicker toys than the Ella which don't cause me any problems. I am thinking that the Ella is still a bit too firm for me since I know it has like a hard-plastic underneath it. I haven't had an actual penis since 2006, but I didn't have any issues back when I was actually having sex. I'm pretty sure I'm using the toy right, but I'm going to take your advice and schedule an appointment with my OB/GYN to make sure everything is okay in there. You don't have to apologize; you helped me put a few things into perspective! Thank you very much for your help!

Yeah either way, if it is the toy itself, you'll wanna get checked to make sure that the damage, whatever it was, that caused all the bleeding isn't sever and is healing properly. So scheduling an appointment will not hurt there. And see if anyone else replies and worst happens is when you do go, ask your doctor

I'll schedule an appointment with him first thing in the morning on Monday, the only issue is that it usually takes a long time to be seen by him and I'm going to have to not insert anything fun into my vagina for a little while. I'll just stick to clitoral stimulation until I can figure out what's going on in there.

Tell them you've been having occasional sever bleeding. lol. Maybe it will get you in faster. I know mine takes like 3 months to get in without a cause, but a month for current patients, and an hour if you say you think you're pregnant. Haha.

I was thinking about telling him something like that. Last year I had to get an extensive surgery on my ovary because endometriosis caused my intestine to stick to my right ovary. I can always mention that I am having similar symptoms to that again, which isn't exactly a lie because I am, but they aren't nearly as bad as it was last year. I'm pretty sure he'd rush me in there ASAP.

LOL! Yeah, my OB/GYN is the same way if he thinks you are pregnant you get in so quickly.

Thank you very much! I'm doing much better now, but I have avoided using that end of the Ella for the time being. I was perfectly fine once I used the other end. I guess my body needs to get used to penetration more...Stupid lame ass finicky vagina.

That jerk was completely booked, so I had to ask my primary physician to take a peak. By the time I got seen, everything was peachy down there. If there was any tearing, it healed up. I haven't had that issue anymore now, but I have stopped using the flat end of the Ella for the time being. The other end works perfectly fine on me though. My vagina is just so damn finicky lol.

I can definitely relate to the "finicky vagina" thing. Glad to know you're doing better.
