Recently I've been having some weird pain when my hubby fingers me. It tends to start in my hip area and travel down my leg. It seems to only happens when he fingers me and once with a hard plastic toy, but not during sex. It's really worrying me, because well it hurts and my hubby really likes to play with me. It's like he's hitting a pressure point or something. Does anyone know what this could be?

This sounds like a nerve issue to me, and I strongly suggest you go to your gyn and talk to them about it. In the meantime, I think you should discontinue penetration with hard toys and fingers - if it hurts, your body is telling you something.

Thanks, I'm going to make an appointment. I just hope it's not something really horribly serious. You know?

It makes me think of sciatic nerve issues when you mention the pain going down your leg. If this is the case, it's a fairly common problem (even tho I've never heard of it being caused in this particular fashion) it probably isn't horribly serious.
It could even be the way you are positioned during being fingered, with pressure being put on an area of your back where nerves are inflamed or being pressed upon by the spine or a disc. Are you positioned differently for fingering than you are, usually, for intercourse?
Either way, it's definitely worth seeing a doctor about, so you can manage it properly.

See your doctor it's more than likely nothing, but you might be injuring yourself if you're feeling pain and need to learn a gentler way of doing things.

Maybe. We could always try another way. But I'm going to check with the doc just in case.

You go to the doc, and let us know.

Thought I'd let everyone know, I just got back from the doc. She said everything looks fine, but took some cultures just to be sure. Basically she said that my bodies changed, after having my second little one. She said, it's a position issue and told me to just try some different stuff and see what works. Ok she didn't say it like that, but you get the gist.

It could be like what happened to me...after having my second child I had an internal hemorrhoid that didn't cause any issues except when in the rare instance that it would get irritated by either a hard toy or a finger. The pain did seem to radiate from my hip or the sacral area down my left leg. After a bit of a search (I have other issues my Doc was worried about) he found the problem. There isn't really a cure since they don't do surgery anymore except in extreme cases...it's more of a try different things and make sure you're regular and load up on fiber and water.
Still it's good to hear it wasn't anything really serious!

It's always best to go to the Gyn, what could have happened to someone here, is not a good basis for medical information because every body is different. i hope you are okay. Please go get checked out.

Thanks ladies. I'm actually glad I posted if you all didn't encourage me to see the doc I probably would have just ignored it and hoped it would go away. I'm like that, I'll ignore what my bodies telling me until it's almost to late. Which I know isn't good, but it's just how I am.
