I did for awhile. I saw a nurse practitioner who primarily treated OB issues, but also helped me with other things. Now I realize that wasn't a good idea. I relied on her to treat my migraines, and nothing really helped. I recently found out my migraines are caused from hydrocephalus ("water on the brain"). I don't blame her for not catching it. There's no way she could have known. But I'm a little peeved that I wasn't sent for MRIs when medication wasn't working. She really didn't think it was necessary when I'd ask for one, and being a broke student, I guess I took it as a good thing and left it alone. I really should have looked for a Neurologist, so I guess it's also my fault.
I still see her and I'm very happy with her help for my OB needs. But I don't rely on her as a primary care provider anymore. I realize that not everyone is gonna have a major health issue like I do or an experience like I did though.
