Ladies, did your doctor stitched you up a bit too tight after giving natural birth?

My first-born was by natural birth. During delivery, the doctor has to perform an Episiotomy to widen my vaginal opening to ensure a safe delivery, then the incision is stitched closed immediately afterwards. I sometimes wonder whether my OB-GYN has sewn me up one stitch too many, since I am not comfortable using toys that are wider than 1 3/4" in diameter. Do you ladies think this might have happened to you too?

I had much discussion with my 60-something OB/GYN regarding my intense desire to NOT have an episiotomy at all. She explained how we would avoid it. It took a lot of time and stretching during labor, but I managed to avoid it all together. She explained that most of her colleagues use the episiotomy to "hurry things along" but she assured me if I promised to avoid pushing and followed her instructions to the letter I would not tear or need to be cut. She also told me it was a shame we were only having one baby since God gave me amazing baby bearing anatomy.

God Bless Dr. Cohen, where ever she may be!

I am not comfortable using toys of that size or larger and I've never had children or any sort of stitching at all.

Same here. My limit is about 1.5-1.75" and it takes awhile to get up to that level. I haven't had any children nor surgery in that general area.

Were you able to use larger toys before you had your child? Maybe that's just your body's natural limit. I've never given birth but I can't use toys bigger than 1 3/4" either. Even that is pushing it for me and I usually stick to 1 1/2".
