The first time I thought it was a coincidence that I was about to start my period, but it's been going on for about six months now. Every month, the week before my period my boobs itch INSANELY. I can't stand for them to be touched. I can't wear a bra. If I thought I could keep My Mr off them, I'd just go topless all week. Lotions don't help. All the online info I've seen says this is pretty common. So does it happen to you too? What do you do to help it?
Ladies, do your breasts get very itchy right before your period?

My breasts do not itch, but they do get very sore and tender for a few days before, and for the first few days of my period.

Same here. Mine don't itch, but they get sore and tender around my period. All women are different with how their hormones react during their period.

Thanks for sharing. I wonder if it's an age thing too... I mean this in the sweetest way possible, but y'all are young!

Yep, yep! Especially right around my nipples. Sometimes they dry out and crack, too. I walk around with my breasts pushed together with my hands balled up under my chin. People ask me if I'm cold and I nod and say yes. Meanwhile, I'm secretly pressing the fabric of my clothes against them so they'll freakin' quit.

I think it might be some kind of hormonal change you go through in your late 20s/early 30s.

Today, all my friends are having their 3rd and 4th, and all I can say "HAHA! In a few months I'll be done with diapers and both my kids sleep all night! And the little one will go to preschool next year! "

*Jealous* I would love to permanently close the factory. Can't really afford it at the moment and I'm still working hubby to get a vasectomy.

And I so hear you. I'm trying to talk a friend of mine into putting hers in preschool but she just won't listen. She doesn't want to work with the children to improve their skills but she doesn't want to be "away" either.

Nope, my boobs rarely itch actually.
02/11/2011
They never itch, but occasionally I'll get shooting pain the day before.
02/11/2011
I have itchy boobs sometimes but it doesn't correlate to my period.
02/11/2011
My boobs get mad itchy sometimes but I've never noticed a correlation with the time of the month. I'd always chalked it up to having pierced nips and never thought much of it. So, maybe?
02/12/2011
Not usually... I use body lotion daily, though, so that prevents most itching.
02/12/2011
I get super dry skin in patches before my period. Sometimes it's my stomach, sometimes it's the inside of my forearm, and sometimes it's my tits.
Just the bad luck way my body deals with being premenstrual.

I don't think I've ever had itchy boobs, but they do get more sensitive!

Hey...I thought I was alone with this. lol
They get mega itchy right before my period. I just turned 32 and I think I started to notice it a few years ago. Maybe it IS an age thing?

Not like a dry skin itchy, but like a tingly/annoying itchy.

I had a roommate that had this but have never experienced it.

They do get itchy. But that's after they tend to swell up... A LOT. I usually put lotion on them so that takes care of the itch and any possible stretch marks.

i dont think my itch is related to my period. maybe it is though. i just catch myself itching my side boob or sometimes nipple at work or in public.

I have really sensitive skin. My boobs don't itch right before my period, but for a week before, and during my sides and stomach itch. It has done it since I was a teen, and it's the most uncomfortable thing ever!
