Is it just me?

Contributor: Miss Anonymous Miss Anonymous
I've noticed that as I gotten older things are changing.
I could remember the very first time I've ever used a toy. It wasn't a strong one, and it go me off each time. I still own that toy. I tried using it, and it did NOTHING for me. I find myself ordering stronger, and stronger toys. Is it just me? Am I losing my mind? Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm not worried about it. I just find it a little curious.

I like to think of it as having built tolerance to the sensation. Part of the reason it was so easy to get me off back in the day was due to the newness of it. Kind of like drinking, the first time you're totally tipsy before you realize it. By your fifteenth frat party, you're a pro!

You do build up a tolerance, especially to vibration. The nerves require greater and greater stimulation to "fire" properly. To combat that, I take long breaks (days or weeks) between sessions using heavy vibration and I try to focus a lot of the time on soft touch (although I do like a hard bang sometimes, too!). This seems to work for me.

Since I got a couple of G-spot dildos rabbits are too straight for me. They don't feel exciting at all.

My sensitivity stays the same or even gets better (or I get better at operating the toys and my body).

no you're just finding what you like. it's not necessarily sensitivity but now that you know what powerful is, the first toy that got you off may seem weak now. sort of like tasting the tree of knowledge; you know what good is now, so you can discern what is meh or bad (terrible analogy but you know what i mean, i hope). if you still have concerns, see the ob/ gyn and talk to him/her about it.

I am also experiencing this. I don't like it, because I don't want to stop being as orgasmic as I am now.
