since i stopped shaving, rarely, but i never got them much to begin with "down there". however i often get hair that grows under the skin (everywhere except my armpits), which is just so annoying to me.

I epilate (about every 2-3 days), so at any given time, I have ingrowns. It's a bitch to deal with, but not near as bitchy as dealing with having to shave. I like epilating because it remove the hair, follicle and all and you don't have so much stubble so soon and also it can inhibit the growth of a small portion of hairs over time. It has for me.

I don't have such an issue with ingrowns besides the way the look. Actually, it's kind of fun to pull them out! I use my Tweezerman's to pull out the ones I can see lurking under my skin. I use a cloth, circular motions up and down all over before I get out of the shower an epilate -- this helps the hairs to protrude from the skin right away.
There is one spot on the crease of my leg, beside my crotch that is so prone to an ingrown hair! It's always one single ingrown and it gets very painful. Takes a few days to remove the hair and let it heal, but for as long as I've had hair, I've had this one spot where an ingrown always wants to happen, even in my younger years! It can be a pain, but it only shows up every once in a while.
But yes, I get a lot of ingrowns.

All the time. Even when I try and be careful when I shave... I have a few scars from some really bad ingrown hairs, actually

I get them frequently--but not severe ones. They are small and annoying but not that bad.

Fairly often. I absolutely hate it

I get ingrowns sometimes. Sometimes they are painful, but it's not really an often thing for me. Crazily enough, I just had an ingrown eyelash finally work itself out. I never had that before! It looked like a little clogged pore right at my eyelash line. I thought maybe I was moisturizing too much. Didn't hurt but bothered the hell out of me. Finally after a few days, I grabbed a magnifying mirror and saw the lash stuck in there. I didn't even know that was possible. Thank god it's gone though.

Only if the razor I am using has been used a couple of times, usually try to use new blades every other time.

Unfortunately, pretty often.

Kendra, I feel you, I always get one where my lip meets my leg! I get them often, it's like I always have at least one. Shaving makes it bad. When I was using a sugar scrub in the shower I didn't have as many and sometimes I didn't have any at all. Le sigh. I just recently started using coffee grounds as a scrub in the shower, that helps some too.

I don't get them often, but when I do they're not pretty. I have a few scars from mine as well!
