I'm an RA in an all-female, all-freshman building at my university and I want to put on a sexual health program for them, except I have no idea where to start!!! Any ideas/resources?

Be sure to talk about where, on campus or at least locally, you can get condoms, get std or pregnancy testing, etc.
And you might mention this site, not all sex involves more than one person

Contact your county health department and find out if they give away free safer sex supplies!

Your schools student health department should be able to help you out. We had an event at my dorm last year that they helped with. It was a lot of fun!

Really great idea about starting a sexual wellness program! Really information about condoms, birth control (side-effects), Plan B, STDs and how easy they spread from person to person. Nearby clinics and what they have at their disposle.
Also the importances of using condoms and not depending on the other person to bring them.

this is such a wonderful idea! i would start by contacting (reputable) local health clinics, such as Planned Parenthood, as they may be able to set you up with condoms as well as reading material. I would also see your universities recourse center, as they often have information on how to start these types of programs/clubs/organiz ations and recourses for how to set it up and the paperwork you would need. And of course get the OK from the dean.

You could talk with student resources like a wellness or health center to see if they have programs you can use or people to come talk. You could bring a local gynecologist in to talk about sexual health. You could also just play a sexual trivia game that would be fun but also help educate people about things like contraception, STIs, and also even anatomy and pleasure.

I think this is a great idea. Look into being inclusive of queer women's sexual health issues too. I'm going to talk to a friend of mine who runs a sexual health program at a University and I'll try to get some resources for you on that.
