Have you ever been pregnant?
08/23/2010
I haven't, just a couple of scares. But I am paranoid, so they probably weren't even legit scares to start with!
08/23/2010
My sister-in-law is having a child and I think that's as close to having children as I want to get.
08/23/2010
Nope, but my wife is on number 3.

Yes, 1 son, 1 stillborn and 1 miscarriage!

Nope. I've had a few scares, but thank goodness that didn't happen because I was too young. I've been with one guy only, for four years, but it would have been too early for me. I do want children in the future though
09/01/2010
Nope, but I've had my scares. Not ready yet to be a mom, but in the future I look forward to being one!
09/02/2010
Yes I have 3 beautiful babies, and had 1 miscarriage when I was 18.
09/02/2010
Been preggers twice, and have 2 kids, one is 2 1/2 the other is 3 months old! Assuming that these monsters will behave one day, hopefully we'll have more!

No, and don't want any. Ever. On the Pill.
Ex-husband had no libido, but strangely enough believed we would have children together someday - I didn't have the heart to tell him that sex was necessary to make babies (at least for me it was). I didn't need contraceptives while married.

I was pregnant once, accidentally, but I had an abortion. I hope to have children with my girlfriend eventually (they're working on technology that will actually allow women to get pregnant by other women, so w00t)

Yeah, I've heard of this. They "hollow out" the egg of the carrying women, and put genetic material of either the partner woman or both (I think the hard part is to get two eggs, ior the genetic material in them to divide and perform mitosis when put together. They can do it in a petri dish, but they don't survive as of yet.)

I have a few lesbian friends who used sperm donors, but this new technology is amazing. It will be a few more years before it is perfected and then (OMG) FDA approval. My guess is you'll be able to get it in Europe or South America before the FDA approves it. Imagine someone like John Boehner (the Senator, we call him "Boner") making a big deal of this.
I hope this gets worked on and perfected. I know a lot of people who would really like this option. As far as I know, most of the work is being done in Europe, South America and small amounts of privately funded work are being done in the USA.
I wish there was more acceptance of both GLBT needs and embryo research. The research for this is almost IDENTICAL to the Fertility Research done in the 60s and 70s that is used every day, and have made plenty of couples parents. NO ONE complained when it was "intended" for infertile "hetero couples." It saddens me when things that are matters of the Heart, like research to help people have children, gets politicized.
I hope this research is worked out soon.

I had a stillbirth my son Henry April 24th of this year. I miss him, but know it just wasn't time to have a child right now. He made me more prepared to have a baby for the future though!

Wow that is amazing! I am definitely going to be reading up more about this research. I am so amazed with how much science is able to do. Makes me wonder what it will be like once I'm in my 90's lol.

Pregnancy loss is so difficult. I've lost a few, but they were relatively early.
Please take my Cyberhugs and love.

Thank you. It's something a mother shouldn't have to go through, but I believe that's what makes mothers so strong.

I've never been pregnant and been lucky enough not to have any scares. I am super careful. Once in undergrad I went to the student health clinic for a sinus infection and they tested me to make sure I wasn't pregnant because I was so fatigued and a rash of pregnancies were "popping up" all over campus. It was bizarre because they didn't tell me they were testing me until after they gave me the results.

I am currently.

I had an ectopic pregnancy a few years ago. Luckily it wasn't big enough to cause too much concern, but I did hemorrhage heavily and go into a coma due to iron loss and anemia.
