Has Anyone Tried Sex with Instead Softcups?

Contributor: LAndJ LAndJ
I tried the Instead Softcups for one period cycle and didn't have any major issues. The box says you can have mess-free sex while using them, but I am unsure as to whether I'd feel it or if my partner would. Just wondering if anyone has tried, otherwise, I guess we'll just wait 4 more weeks, try it out and see how it feels.

I don't understand how that would work. This will also be my second cycle using them. I mean, the blood comes out of your cervix, and in order for the cup to work, it has to block that off, and so I guess maybe it would be mess free, but I can't see how he could not feel it.

I used the disposable ones (theyve changed their packaging so not sure what the difference is), and it worked during sex though when it was particularly rough it would poke my cervix. More often than not it generally kept things from being totally all out messy.

I wore one during sex once. It was fine for me, but bothered my bf, he's really sensitive. I think it depends how sensitive you and your partner are.

i do it with my mooncup. and masturbate too. i've had a problem a couple times with him getting me from behind and it is uncomfortable because it pushes it into my cervix. also one time i bled alot because he shook it free from the seal. its pretty rare in my experience to have an issue with it though.

just remember to clean it out at LEAST once a day. i got a BV from not cleaning it out every day.

Thanks, good info. I think we'll just be careful and try it out first early on in the next cycle.

I haven't tried them, but since they sit up in the vagina around the cervix, it should work fine. He might feel it a bit, but I've heard from people who have used them during sex and they liked the fact that it was mess free.
