The only thing I've tried has been 6-7 years ago and that was a low does birth control pill so I'm not really current to what all is out there.

I was on the pill for awhile but it was messing with my cycle so I got the hormonal IUD. I liked it pretty well but I have a new one put in soon, it's been 5 years since I had it placed. I think I may just go back on the pill instead. The IUD made me gain a bit of weight and I never know when I will get my period which can be a bit scary!

Was on the pill off and on for about fifteen years, used condoms sometimes; finally had my tubes tied within the past few months, so I went the permanent route.

I tried several types of pills, then ended up with the Mirena. It is painful to get inserted, but I love not having to worry about pills or anything for years.
