Ever experienced anything like this??

I have what my husband calls as "reverse period." I bleed for 3 weeks and might get 1-2 weeks of no bleeding then it starts all over. Here are the factors: Child born almost 2 yrs ago, inverted uterus during delivery, Injection birth control from my 6 week checkup until January of this year, I just stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks ago.

I used to bleed for 3 weeks every 3 months on the shot. I started this "reverse period" around November of last year.

Yes, actually! This has happened to me as long as I can remember and the symptoms (very extreme ones) come at both times too! I have endometriosis, always thought that was why.

Anything that is a change from the usual, even if you think you know why, should be checked out by your doctor. Sure, this is probably from what you describe, but please, don't risk your long term health, make an appointment & ease your mind.

I didn't have a full on period but I spotted almost non stop while on the shot. When I came off the shot I had a week long period about every other week. I am finally starting to have normal periods and have been off of the shot (and any birth control) for 6 months.

Sounds like a lot of blood to lose.

Maybe you should ask about that, in terms of clotting, etc. It was the first thing that came to mind. I have no idea if clotting has anything to do with periods

I have bled for 4 weeks or so on a few occasions you need to go follow up with your OBGYN I ended up needing a pill to level out my hormones to stop the bleeding then I went to somewhat normal periods. I have Endometriosis and Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome so messed up periods are common but not like this.

That exact thing has never happened to me. But if you were you, I'd go get it checked out. It could be a number of things and the doctor would be able to tell you for sure.
