Edometriosis & vaginal sex?

Contributor: lalapetitee lalapetitee
I suffer from sever Edometriosis and have for 11 years. I have had spells of no painful periods very sparsely. When it comes to vaginal sex with my partner its almost always painful or uncomfortable. I love having my G spot and U spot massaged but sometimes any vaginal sex ends in cramping and a urge to pee that doesn't cease for a while. Before and after my period I have fatigue and joint pain that includes pelvic pain. I would love to enjoy sex with my partner more but I'm not sure how. Does anyone else have experience with this and if so how do you deal with it?

Sorry, I've never even heard of Edometriosis! What is it exactly? I ahve VERY painful periods if I'm not on the pill, and sometimes it actually HURTS to have sex. This is rare now, but when I was younger it was bad. We would just go slower when it hurt, and let me get back in the mood some. I don't know if this would help you at all, but its all i got, sorry

Its a genetic disorder of the reproductive system. It causes very painful periods which inclused nausea, vomitting, heavy bleeding and diarreah. It is caused by the endometrium tissue that lines the inner uterus and sheeds when your egg is not fertilized. The endometrium tissue gets spread outside of other organs other than the uterus. When these tissues sheed it causes increased pain and bleeding. The organs it lines range from the ovaries, rectum and more. I always. Had very painful bleeding and up until I was 12 I didn't know why. A visit to the doc helped me figure it out. I was on birth control but most caused me to loose my hair and other awful things. I'm not insured so I'm just hoping someone else has some suggestions. Thanks so much for yours.

oh my goodness. What you're describing is like what I was going through. I would literally have to stay home from school the entire week i had my period. I started when I was 9 too, so they just told me my body wasn't prepared for what was going on inside it. It is still bad now, and I get really bad cramps, headaches, sick, diarrehia, but its less when i'm on the pill. I also have to be on a VERY strong pill. I may have to ask my doctor about this. I'm sorry I don't have anything to offer, I really wish I did. I would suggest googling maybe homeopathic remedies for it?

Yes I take some the strongest meds available and its still severe. You should ask to have a laporacopy done. Its a outpatient procedure that let's them look thru your belly button with a camera and see if you have endometrium tissue and or liseons. They have surgeries to treat it but since I don't have insurance its not a option for me. I'm going to order the Je Joue Ami sytem. I read that strengthing my pelvic floor can help with the pelvic pain at least.
