I have had a long and rocky road with birth control and am at a point in my life now where I am not using it at all. It's been great not having the variety of bad side effects I was dealing with for years. It seems the trade off is that I am now unable to control my emotions for a few days before I start menstruating. I'm moody and unpredictable, even to myself. I feel like I am totally out of control and I don't like that feeling or the effect it has on me or others. Do you have routines, exercises, medicines, natural remedies, etc. that work for you?
Do you have suggestions for how to help severe moodiness/inability to control emotions due to PMS? Please!

300mg Wellbutrin every day, but only if you're diagnosed with depression.
I know what you mean, though. When I didn't have antidepressants or the Pill, I was a complete Gorgon and EVERYONE knew where I was in the month. (I have to admit, my lousy ex-husband was very understanding about it, and would administer ice cream and foot rubs to lessen the hell for both of us.)
The PMS Tea worked okay for it - pretty much any calming tea would help, like peppermint, camomile, or lemongrass. It'll be subtle, so it would aid in letting you have a breather and you can meditate a bit to cool off. I'd take lots of tea breaks to remove myself from stressful situations and calm down.
Exercise also helps a lot, since it'll give you a safe way to channel all that crazy energy. Running, biking, or the elliptical would be best since they have the intensity to burn off that energy.
The main thing is just to try to stay out of stressful situations as much as possible.
