Do you get excited when you come up clean on your STD tests?

Contributor: A.noel A.noel
I just had my yearly gyno appointment and got the results from my pap and STD tests. Everything was clean and I am just so happy. I have had several partners last year and you can never be quite sure they tell you the truth about being clean so i was a little nervous this time.
But now that I have the results I want to tell everyone!
I am having to control myself and keep my mouth shut though because that is not something everyone wants to know.

I haven't gotten one yet, but I expect that I should turn up negative. I'll feel nothing if it's a negative. If it's a positive, I would freak.

congratulations on being clean - please be more careful! if you think you can't be sure, wrap it up.

i never feel 'happy' necessarily, just relieved, content with the results. i've luckily never had anything come up. knock on wood.

Not really happy...
I'm currently in a relationship with one person.. We are both faithful to each other so I don't worry about getting anything.

No, I expect to be clean. If I'm clean it's "oh, good, whatever," and I go on with my day.

I wouldn't say "happy". I don't really engage in any at-risk behaviour, so I expect to come up clean. I'd be pretty shocked if it turned out I had something!

nah it's pretty expected, I don't use condoms but I'm in a fluid-bonded monogamous relationship so I don't expect any problems. When I get my period though and know I'm not pregnant... that's awesome!

I have to say, I really hate the term "clean" when referring to STD's. I have an incurable STD, which I got while in a monogamous long-term relationship. My partner did not and still does not test positive in an annual exam, because it's not part of a standard STD panel. It's not something I'm ashamed of, it's nothing that causes any serious complications, and I don't feel "unclean" or "dirty" for it.

I never get tested. I got tested once during pregnancy because it's proper procedure. Of course it came out clean. I trust my husband. Lol

Never been tested since I've always been monogamous.
