Nope. I'm of the mind that having surgery won't fix the emotional problems and the issues with self-esteem, which are the driving forces behind cosmetic procedures.
When I found out that breast implants have to be replaced after so many years, I was like why on earth would someone go through that just for looks?
Deformity aside, that is. There are definitely reasons to have surgeries like this, but I don't think it should be easy for patients who want to do it just to do it.

I've always been each their own kinda person. Now if it gets to the point of addiction then I'm concerned for them. I don't think I would ever get any of that done myself though for few reasons. Recovery time and the cost being biggest reasons. But the thought of booty injections have crossed my mind. Even to the point I started looking into it. The recovery is what made me think twice about it. But it still crosses my mind sometimes.

My does botox and does a photo-facial periodically. She also had laser hair removal of her pubes and under-arms. She's love to have breast reduction - but that's a bit radical and too expensive.

I agree, to each their own, but I'm not doing that to myself. I will only do cosmetic surgery if I need it for reconstruction.

If there was a medical reason. Like if you lost a lot of wait and had to have skin removed to stop other problems but for beauty from me no but that would be you chose and your money.

Having worked in a cosmetic practice, I've seen a lot of people who didn't need it come in and have work done, and a lot of people who looked fine but you could see a big improvement when they left. I personally would not have much done, I'd love to get lipo on my stomach or laser hair removal, which by the way is also "cosmetic", but if other people want other things I say go for it! If you have the money and don't mind any type of recovery you may have, if it makes you more comfortable and happy with yourself, do it!
The way I see it, getting Botox/Dysport is no different than coloring your hair, getting a spray on tan, getting a tattoo or piercing, or losing/gaining weight to improve the way your body looks or to feel more confident in yourself. You are still "going against nature" and changing your body in ways it normally wouldn't change.

I would do something once I've saved up (breast augmentation) and I don't judge others that do. I always say, if I or anyone else starts judging someone for choosing to do surgery, why don't we question why they cut their hair, why they go shopping, etc... It's something they want to do.
