Do I have a cyst or something else?

Okay, let me give a little backstory to this.

Over the last, say, 7 years, every now and then, totally randomly, I will feel a stabbing pain ranging from 1 to 10 on the hospital pain scale in my lower abdomen close to my outer lady bits. Sometimes it's just one of those "oh" moments where I feel slight discomfort, and other times, it's nearly crippled me while walking. It doesn't happen very often. Like I said, it's mostly been spread out over the last 7 years. The pain typically goes away after no longer than five to ten minutes. I might have a recurring stabbing pain a little after the first, but usually nothing serious.

I have never seen a doctor about these pains as they didn't happen often enough to cause me any worry.

Well, this morning, I woke up and was just lying in bed contemplating the night before when I felt a pressure build up and then.... release? in the same area again. This has happen about five times since I woke up 2 hours ago. The first three times it just felt like when you go to pop a pimple on your face. A little uncomfortable, but then sudden release when it "pops."

Then the fourth time, I was lying there and it built up so fast and so painfully that I bucked up in pain and dropped my phone which I had been holding.

The previous times, it had lasted maybe 10 seconds, this painful time it lasted about 30 or 40 seconds then dulled to a small ache and then went away altogether.

Since then, I have only felt a very dull pulsing pain every maybe... ten minutes? Nothing painful at all, just like a muscle spasm.

This is normally about the week that I start my cycle, but I have also been insanely emotionally stressed this last month. Does anyone have any insight to this?

I would get it checked out, could be pretty much anything from ovulation, a cyst, gull stones, kidney stones etc.

Have you had any pain in your lower back? I was passing small kidney stones for awhile and never really noticed because it was more of a discomfort..that is until I passed a rather large one. The pain was enough to have me vomiting and sent me to the ER.

No other pain has come along with this.

Four years ago I was raped and had the whole rape kit done on me including the camera up in there, the ladies found a dark spot near my cervix and urged me to get it checked out. They didn't know what it could even be. It was just a darker pink spot. It took me about 8 more months to be able to go get it checked out. The lady did a pap smear and I told her about the spot, she never saw anything.

My pap did come back abnormal, which, obviously, could mean many different things. I got repapped about six months later as she instructed, but it was at a different location as I had moved. The repap I got came back normal, but the results from the repap and the first abnormal pap were never compared to see what the differences could have been. It was all due to the second Planned Parenthood office not understand the specific instructions to not send ME the results but to send the results to the other Planned Parenthood. I even signed release forms and they still screwed it all up.

And in all of my moves, I lost everything, so I never found out anything at all.

definitely see your Dr., not Planned Parenthood. this sounds very serious. I'm surprised you have withstood such pain w/o seeking help. I understand being scared of the possible results. but you really need to have your Dr. help you get to the source of the pain & refuse to be placated till you do.

Well, it goes away. It hits and I've never had it last longer than five minutes and it typically goes away.

Today is the worst and most often that it's ever happened.

I don't have a regular doctor, so I suppose I should look into one.

Please do find a doctor. Like Edeneve said, this sounds serious. I do hope you get this resolved and that you're okay. If you don't mind, please update us once this gets taken care of. I'm curious to know what this could be.
