I trust it so much that I feel safe wearing white bathing suits during my period! White shorts during yoga? Absolutely. This product is unbelievable. If you've never heard of it, do yourself a favor and check out their website! Your Aunt Flo will thank you!

I use mine most of the time for that time of the month, but there's so much preparation and cleaning involved I often dread using it at times. I love that I don't have to throw anything out, but I hate how intimate I have to be with my fluids.

I love the idea of it... but this is exactly my worry about it.. having to be so.. "intimate" with my cunt blood.. I'm not sure I could handle it.

I use a different brand, the MCUK (Mooncup UK), but do agree, menstrual cups are amazing!!

I just ordered my first one off of Amazon yesterday. I'm waiting for it to arrive. I'm excited about it but worried. I'm a woman who only started using tampons for the first time a few months ago. So I'm afraid I won't do it right.

I'm seriously considering getting one.

Sounds too messy...

I've been thinking about it. I don't like the idea of having to clean it out and such, but I'm just so tired of pad overflow. I used to use tampons all the time before I got pregnant, but they haven't felt comfortable since I had my son (and he's 3 now!!!).

I used to but I get creeped out dealing with too much fluids.
05/13/2012
I do and I love it. I've only had a couple little accidents with it, but that's so much better than when I used pads and tampons. I hate the "squishy" feeling of wearing pads and having to change tampons ALL THE TIME (my uterus is prolific, apparently) is unacceptable to me. So the Diva Cup is a winner!

I have heard of them, and have been thinking about maybe using one for the first time. But I really don't know how messy they are to clean, and I don't know how leakproof they are

So incredibly gross.

sounds gross

Pre-hysto I had ordered one, but I never got to use it. I gave it to my younger sister but she didnt like it. I used tampons and she didnt. I think I would have prefered it.

I don't want to use it because I can barely stand tampons anymore.Sometimes my periods are heavy and I'd rather just have it come out.

Other: no period (Mirena IUD). I don't know very many women who have a period these days (between IUDs, continuous pill, post-menopausal, etc.), but the Diva Cup does sound like an attractive option for those who do!

I know you can boil them, and leakproof really depends on your body, but if it does work with your body, it will create a suction when it pops open, and you break that seal before taking it out by pressing on the cup.

there are a lot of other brands with different sizes, so there really is a cup out there for everyone! I'm a virgin, have never used penetrative toys nor used tampons so I'm a bit apprehensive to try mine but I do own one and think it's a great idea!

I used one for the first time last month & I LOVED it. It didn't even feel like I was on my period! I had a slight issue with leaking one day because I didn't put it in quite right, but as soon as I realized it was leaking, I was able to fix it. I normally used tampons before, but I could go much longer without having to change the Diva Cup. I only ever used tampons the heaviest days of my period since I didn't want to waste them on lighter flow days, & I just hate that gross squishy feeling of blood being in your pad, but I didn't experience that at all with the Diva Cup. I was a little paranoid & used a pad with it throughout the week, but I'll probably just go to pantiliners next month since I only had the one leaking issue.

It's on my list of cups to try, actually! I'm still debating which one to get. I have used the disposable menstrual cups, because they can be worn for 12 hours and irritate my vaginal scarring less than tampons do.
Everyone I talk to seems to have different brand preferences, so I just might have to look at prices and grab one to try.

check out the menstrual cups community on livejournal. there's discussions comparing brands, sizes, and even charts with capacity comparisons so you can kind of get an idea what would be best for you. and if your first cup isn't the best, you know where to go from there! it's very helpful.

I love my diva cup! My period would give me rashes and urinary tract infections before I started using the diva cup.
Every month I would have to go to the doctors to get antibiotics for my UTI.
It has been about 5 or 6 months rash and UTI free........I love it!
