Can you orgasm vaginally? Do all women have the ability or does it vary from woman to woman? Does orgasming vaginally feel different or better than orgasming clitorally?

Contributor: QSBybakd QSBybakd
I'm really curious to know how many of us can have vaginal orgasms. I've heard mixed information on this. Some people say every woman is capable of orgasming vaginally, some say as few as 20% of women can do it. Some say it feels better than clitoral orgasms, some say it's not better, just "different". So I made a 3 question poll to find out once and for all!

I cannot (or at least never have), but I still love the feeling of penetration and g-spot stimulation. I don't really feel like I need to orgasm vaginally to be satisfied, but I'm still curious about them.

some women are able to orgasm vaginally without issue, and some women need to teach their bodies how to do it. I actually had my first orgasm vaginally, not clitorally. Both orgasm types feel different to me, and it really depends on whether or not I'm solo or with a partner.

Masturbation is a wonderful tool to learn how to orgasm vaginally; that way, you're not putting pressure on your partner and you can give yourself plenty of time to understand your body's needs.

Does a having a g-spot orgasm count as having orgasmed vaginally?

I enjoy the sensation of penetration although I cannot orgasm vaginally. I haven't found my g-spot and am unsure if I'm unresponsive to such stimulation. It's a bit discouraging!

Well, the g-spot is in the vagina so I guess they could be counted.

I have g-spot and kegel orgasms. Because no one else I know of has the kegel type, I class them in as vaginal orgasms.

I have Never nor do I think I ever will orgasm vaginally, it's hard enough to get me there with clit stimulation, and that's by my own hands or a powerful vibrator. I squirt, but it's not an orgasm.

I can, and it does feel different. Actually, all orgasms feel somewhat different - G-spot, clitoral, vaginal, what have you. I can't say which is best, because none of them feel the same.

Marie Bonaparte did research on this. From Wikipedia:

Having measured the distance between the clitoris and the vagina in 243 women, she concluded after analysing their sexual history that the distance between these two organs was critical for the ability to reach orgasm ("volupté"); she identified women with a short distance (the "paraclitoridiennes") who reached orgasm easily during intercourse, and women with a distance of more than two and a half centimeters (the "téleclitoridiennes") who had difficulties while the "mesoclitoriennes" were in between.

So, if you're spaced more than 2.5cm apart, you will have difficulty having a vaginal orgasm.

Check out this thread for info on measurements and how to get them.

I'm about 1cm apart from clit to opening and I can orgasm through PIV sex very easily. I can also have a G spot orgasm, which is different than a regular vaginal orgasm. I can also have clitoral orgasms, which are different from those two.

I've known women who can cum easily from sex and those who cannot. I consider myself very lucky!

I can orgasm vaginally and clitorally pretty easily, but have yet to really find my g-spot and orgasm from that.

I can't, and I'm okay with that. I like penetration, whether it be fingers or toys, but if I want an orgasm you gotta play with my clit.

I can have vaginal orgasms, and they are sometimes a better/easier orgasm than a clitoral one.

This is an interesting thread for all the ladies out there. I can only report that my girl has vaginal orgasms and loves them. The only thing better is a blended orgasm with clitoral and vaginal at the same time. It takes her about 3-5 minutes to come down from that high. I'm just ecstatic that I was able to help

So sorry! haha. Should have thought of that.

It seems there is a difference between G-spot orgasms and vaginal orgasms? Or is there? Because I have never had a problem finding my G-spot. It feels great and I often prefer G-spot stimulation to clitoral despite the fact that I cannot seem to orgasm that way.

For those of you who "taught your body" to orgasm through vaginal / g-spot stimulation, how did you practice?

Never had it happen, I don't think it's possible for me, either.

Most of the orgasms I have are blended orgasms. It is extremely difficult for me to orgasm from only clitoral stimulation. However, the more my blended orgasm seems to be vaginally focused, the better it feels.

As far as "vaginally only" orgasms, so far I've only had one that was purely from vaginal stimulation, just from fingers. It was before I'd discovered my clitoris and was my first orgasm ever. I'm hoping to repeat the experience, but I suffer from extreme hand and wrist pain/fatigue and so it is extremely difficult for me to sustain thrusting/rocking motions for more than perhaps a minute.

I have had orgasms that seemed to be mainly focused in the vagina, but where I used clitoral stimulation in the lead-up and then finished off vaginally, with maybe that last 15 seconds being vaginal-only stimulation. I'm not sure if these "count" since I did use clitoral stimulation to get there. However, they feel very, very good in comparison to my normal blended orgasms.

I've also had no-physical-stimulatio n orgasms (from wet dreams and from fantasy only, without touching) but these are rare and I'm think they'd probably go in a completely different category than clitoral-only or vaginal-only since neither type of physical stimulation happened.

I find my few clitoral-only orgasms to be mostly of the unfulfilling kind, very mild orgasms that are sometimes extremely irritating. Sometimes they are nice, but more often they are rather sad and I generally need to have at least four or five of them to be fulfilled.

Penetration is usually very painful for me so I highly doubt I'll ever be able to have a vaginal orgasm. I'm not sure that I'm not capable of it, but it hurts pretty bad so that prevents me from being able to find out.
