I think maybe it depends on the woman. I really enjoy having a FEW really reliable toys in the drawer as opposed to a LARGE assortment that I have to choose from every time I get in the mood. My solution was to keep my "old faithfuls" handy next to the bed, then pack up the lesser-used items into their boxes and display them on the bedroom bookshelf. (It's a little like shopping for a new toy every time I visit the bookshelf and re-open a box.)
Can a women have to many sex toys?

They all feel different so no.

I agree. Technically yes, if you're hoarding, or spending money on them that you do not really have. Otherwise, if you can afford them, and have the space - no such thing as too many! So I voted "yes and no".

Other than that, I would say no.

It's just like any other hobby. Do you see how many action figures or toy boats some people have? But those people don't get screaming orgasms from their toys! less

If you can afford it and it's not hindering a relationship, then I think it's cool. Lots of toys makes things fun!
08/09/2011
I'm not obsessive over toys, just need a few to get the job done
08/09/2011
a few favorites would be all I would really need...as long as I found ones that do the job, I don't think I'd be constantly buying new ones.

Something I deal with a lot is a weird habit of hoarding. Not like what you would see on Hoarders, because I also have this issue with germs and the like, so I don't wade through piles of filth, but I do however, collect things. I need to be very careful about how much of something I hold on to, because I tend to take things to the extreme. Sometimes, I collect things I don't even USE!
So, yes, you CAN have too many in some circumstances. But, if you are not spending money on toys instead of bills, and aren't hoarding, and you have them because you like toys, you can't have too many

No way I love my toys and have more than anyone I know and it's still not enough.

A good amount of variety is good but having so many sex toys that you don't even remember what you have is probably too much. I would like a few more. I have four vibrating dildos, two glass dildos, one small rabbit, one bullet, one butt plug and one massager and I would definitely like some more toys. Thirty would be appropriate I think. (But at the rate I'm going I'm sure I'll end up with too damn many.)
10/27/2011
Tecccccccccccchnically you can have too much of anything.
But let's be realistic here for a moment or two. The average user will not accumulate too many sex toys; in fact, I would suggest that everyone has in their collection a variety: perhaps both a silicone and a glass dildo, an internal and an external vibrator, maybe a rabbit. An anal toy or two (perhaps a plug and a vibrator). To some people this alone would be too many, even though you can with this list have seven completely functionally different toys.
Your average reviewer could accumulate many more toys than this! Even with a dozen different dildos at your disposal, with the variety of body-safe materials, sizes, and textures each one can be completely functionally different. Certainly all of mine serve different purposes. Same with vibrators... strength, size, patterns, programing... where you can use it... waterproof, heated? There's tons of options. You could have a hundred toys in the end that are still all functionally different and suitable for situations.
So I suppose if you have dildos spilling forth from your closets, and you're tripping over a dong to get to the washroom, you may have too many. Use reason. Are you an average user looking to add some non-kitchen spice to your bedroom, because frankly I suspect pepper would be an uncomfortable addition to any sensitive area... or are you a reviewer looking for the best of the best... are you just looking for one toy to get you off... are you in a kinky relationship where toys add to the dynamic... your situation will determine what "too many sex toys" is, and where you ought to draw the line. For someone, my baker's dozen may already be too many, and for someone else, that might be a drop in a pan.
So yes, a woman CAN have too many, but that ought to be determined personally by her, and not some arbitrary number that says 'this is too many sex toys, now you are a hoarder'.

I chose yes and no. For me, I feel uncomfortable having enormous amounts of toys that go unused. So, I pass them on to friends, if they're sterilizable, or I send them in for recycling. However, I wouldn't say there is a specific number that is "too many", unless you live in a state where having over a certain number of vibrators indicates an intention to sell them...which is, in fact, still illegal in Alabama. Until about 2007/2008, it was also still illegal in TX, KS, and GA! Wild, huh?

Actually, that's still the case in parts of TX. Or, rather, you can't have more than a certain number on open display. A store got closed down around here for it a couple years back (though I think that was just an excuse to close them down for other stuff). It's an ordinance in some cities now, I think, not a state law now, but yeah...

Anyway... only reason I could see to say a person had "too many" sex toys would be if the toys were somehow a real obsession & were interfering with their doing normal life stuff and/or having normal relationships.

I have a big selection and am still adding toys on a pretty frequent basis. No you cant ever have too many
11/03/2011
I don't think so, however I am starting to feel that my collection is getting a little too big.
11/03/2011
I don't think so! Toys great, more toys are even better!
11/10/2011
No, unless you aren't ever using them then it may be too many. Other than that, every toy usually has something unique about it so having a wide variety to fit your mood is good. I don't ever waste money on a toy I know I won't like though. Sometimes you end up with one you can't use or don't like, but unless you're just getting them and never using them then I don't think there's ever too many.
11/10/2011
My official answer is NO! But, if you're replacing sex toys for sex and love and avoiding having intimacy with a partner then that might be trouble.
11/18/2011
The only thing I can think of is if you have so many you never get to use them all. I feel like I would be paralyzed by choice if I had too many! Also, I move around a lot, so one or two are easy to transport with me, but if I had to many it would start to get annoying.
11/20/2011
I think variety is good. But I say this with a partner in mind, he likes to play with me with my toys so its fun for both of us.
12/10/2011
I seriously doubt it. Variation is great!
12/16/2011
Variety is good, but I think you have too many once you no longer have places to stash them. Also, if you don't ever use something, why have it? I'm guilty of hanging onto some of them for longer than I should, but I eventually toss them out.
12/16/2011
there is no such thing as too many!
12/17/2011
12/18/2011
It's too many if you are spending enough money to hurt your financial situation or family. Also if it takes up too much room lol.
12/19/2011
I often wonder this as I have so many but no I don't think a woman can have to many. It's always good to have variety!
01/10/2012
I suppose.. only when you start running out of room.
