Boob Rash :(

Contributor: Kim! Kim!
Yesterday I was up at my family's storage unit going through a bunch of stuff, most of it has been sitting there for a few years. A lot of it was sitting in my grandparents' basement for many years and then just moved right to storage. It has been ridiculously hot and I was in an unairconditioned, stuffy building. I now have a rash on the top of and right below my right boob, I'm guessing it's from the sweat and possibly the old dirt, dust, and whatever else was lurking in those boxes. It itches like hell. Any suggestions on the best way to cure itchy boobage? I'm currently refusing to wear a bra and going with shirts that do offer some support because these things need some control.

Keep it dry until the rash goes away. When I get chafed (from my thighs rubbing together, under my breasts, etc) I usually just apply a little bit of diaper rash cream to it. The one I use is Bordeaux Butt Paste, but Desitin, Balmex or any of those work. You can lightly dust it with baby powder or corn starch to keep it dry.

Awww this sucks!
Maybe try some hydrocortisone cream. It doesn't burn or sting or anything. It's useful for itches and rashes and bug bites and all sort of skin problems. Hope it gets better soon

I got heat rash the other day from walking a long distance in the sun. I don't really sweat ever but it was particularly hot out so I guess I must have and not known it. It's almost gone and I gt it on Thursday. Maybe it will go away on it's own and you won't need to do anything else for it!

I'm hoping that'll happen but I've had it since Friday and last night it looked really bright red again and today it isn't much better.

UH-OH! Maybe it was the fabric or whatever was on the stuff! Just keep cleaning it, and I hope it gets better. A lot of the advice you've probably already read on these wonderful responses is very good, so I'll just go with that.
