I was on Quasense, which is the generic of Seasonelle, the 3 month pill. I feel like my sex drive decreased a little bit when I started taking it, and now that I'm off it my sex drive has increased again.

My partner definitely had a generally lower sex drive on birth control.

BC killed my sex drive. Killed it.

I also gained a cup size, which wasn't much of a consolation.

I do not think it has affected my sex drive. I started taking them as a fairly young teenager though, so it's really hard for me to tell. I can tell you that my sex drive is GREAT, and if it were higher it could be a problem. lol

I think I'm one of those weird/lucky people that never gets any negative side effects from any kind of hormones, aside from some spotting.

Over the years I've taken so many different formulations of BC pills. I am currently taking Amethia, which is a generic form of Seasonique (Seasonale's cousin, with only 4 periods a year - Seasonale didn't work quite as well for me). I will be going back on the Seasonique though, because the Amethia is causing me to have crazy spotting during my 3rd month and I never had that problem with Seasonique.

I'm on Tri-Sprintec, the generic of Tri-Nessa. The only thing that I noticed when I first started taking it was that I was having more intense mood swings than usual. It hasn't really affected my sex drive at all, though. It was high before I started the pill, and it's still high. I've been taking it for about a year and three months.

When I was on the pill, I was extremely horny all the time to the point I would do anything to get off. But now that I'm not on it, I feel that I have a healthy sexual life.

That's one of the reasons I'm wary of going on hormonal birth control, although after getting knocked up I think it's worth the risk. I'm hoping the Mirena IUD will have low enough hormone levels that it won't affect me much.

I'm on amethia too, just because seasonique is even more razy expensive. for a little while, i completely lost my sex drive, but it was just for like a week lol it's a little less than when I was on seasonique and before that, but not enough to be a problem. I do seem to be getting hormonal around my period though, which is really annoying. I got on birth control to stop my hormonal depression in the first place. Whatever, I know it's hormonal so it's controllable

I wish I knew.. because I started birth control at the age of 13 because of hormonal issues. Young, I know.
