I haven't heard of it either. I've not had kids, but I find it hard to imagine simple relaxation techniques could distract from the pain. And this is kind of off topic, but did anyone else think the baby pictured to the left was a little creepy looking? Something about the eyes....I have a thing about babies with adult faces too...anyways, I don't think this would be a method I would try, especially not for a first child.
