My wife and I have almost entirely used Durex condoms. They are comfortable, come in many different varieties, and we have only had I believe two fail in over 5 years of use. We have also received Trojan condoms with their vibrating cock rings, but we didn't like the feel of them as much. We use the Durex Avanti (non latex), the extra sensitive and extra sensitive ribbed.
Your preferred brand of condoms?
10/21/2010
I've only ever used Trojans.
10/21/2010
We use Trojan Magnum, it's the best larger condom, and comes in options such as the new Ecstasy lube. We avoid the heating, cooling, tingling lubricants, as the wife doesn't like those feelings from a chemical.
If you're wondering, we use condoms while being married (along with the pill) just to be extra safe while she finishes Grad school and I pay off loans. When that's accomplished, we can be a little more free and look towards family planning.

When we used condoms, we preferred Trojan ultra thin. We both hate the feel of condoms and that one was the best, but of course, not the greatest.

Agreed. My boyfriend and I have tried another brand (can't remember which one), it broke, and we had a pregnancy scare. Never going to use another brand other than Trojan again.

Trojan, I've rarely had a breakage and they are comfortable. So I go with these!

I'd say Trojan, but we'll try anything. Four Seasons rocks so far, too. And I like Vivid.

I know we all have our allegiances to different brands of condoms but I was wondering which would really come out ahead, and why. If you have a favorite, or favorites, please explain - if there is a brand you do NOT like, please tell us why too. I know not everyone here uses them, as many of us are in fluid bonded relationships with other forms of birth control, but even if you just use them on your toys or for backup birth control, please feel free to contribute.

Honestly I didn't have to do much 'real world' stuff for them...pretty much everything I did, I did online.

i dont like condoms and usually we dont buy it...but i think Durex is good.. it is better than lifestyle.. others - i dont know..
11/12/2010
I've used a bunch of different brands. I love Durex, especially their Love condoms. I dislike Lifestyle, though I will use them when the gynecologist gives me a bag full of them. I also don't really care for Trojan much.
11/13/2010
i voted for Durex, cause most of all my husband bought it.. and i done evrn know what kind is better! Durex is not bad..

It sucks, doesn't it? There are few condoms for those of us with latex allergies. Allergy to latex is SO common, and some of the newer plastics, like polyisprione, (Lifestyle Skyn) is pretty nonporous, I don't know why more companies don't make non-latex condoms. I use them for toys, sometimes, but they don't fit him. (He looks like two linked sausages, with the ring half way down, and he gets pissed off and tears it off. I can imagine it is not comfortable. Plus the ring doesn't go all the way up, and it's not comfortable for me either with the damn ring rubbing. They don't stretch as well on a human as they do on toys, for some reason.)

There is virtually nothing for the well endowed man in non-latex. We used to use the Trojan Magnum but they are LATEX and when I realized I was allergic, we had to stop using them.
He hates them, (of course) but it would be nice to not have to pull out once in a while. He's used to it, and, of course gets head or ass if he wants it "warm and wet" but I'd like him to come inside more than once a month or so or less, he forgot I was having my period this month and pulled out every time anyway.

We enjoy Intellx's Inspiral condom. Such an interesting shape, and my boyfriend really enjoys it. Too bad they're a lot more expensive than the brands we usually buy.

Lifestyle. They are the only ones my girlfriend likes. Something about the others just doesn't work for her (probably the lube on them or something)
We used to use the Lifestyle Ultra Sensitive condoms. I didn't really like them. But now we use the Lifestyle Skyn, and I like them a lot. Much better sensation, for some reason. I know some people don't like them because they're only available in normal size and not extra large, but I don't need extra large, as I don't have a huge dick.

My boyfriend and I use Lifestyles Skyn polyisoprene condoms.
We discovered the (VERY) hard way that I'm allergic to latex. It went a little like this: (1) Pixie, 21, is too embarrassed to pay much attention to what's going on while Boy buys the condoms. (2) Next night, Boy and Pixie roll on a latex condom and begin Pixie's deflowerment. It's fun and feels great. (3) Next day Pixie freaks out because her vaginal walls and uterus have a fluttery, itchy feeling. (4) A few days later Pixie is convinced the condoms were defective and she is pregnant. The itching is now intense and almost painful inside. (5) Pixie's best friend, a guy, buys her some EPT's, Pixie cries relief on his shoulder when she's not pregnant, visits a doctor who tells her SURPRISE! It WAS the condoms! You're allergic to them. Find another brand.
They're a little more expensive per condom than the average latex condom, but I think they also feel better. I wish they made one that allows more room around the head of his penis; sometimes he loses sensation and we stop, neither of us having been fulfilled, which is kind of sad, especially for me because while orgasm is nice for me, my favorite part of sex is when he finishes, whether I'm done or not ^^;;

Haven't used condoms in forever, but when we did it was always trojan.
12/19/2010
me and my husband like the spermicidal ones, infact i've always tried to pick out something different more for his pleasure or mine and he always picks it out.
01/11/2011
I've pretty much only used Trojans. I hate their ultra-thin ones, though, feels like a ziplock bag or something.
01/11/2011
We put Trojan but only because they are the only ones that make a polyurethane condom now that Avanti quit
01/11/2011
The Crown "Skinless Skin" is our go to, we won't use anything else anymore, they feel so much better than other condoms. It's the closest thing we've found to nothing at all and we've tried quite a few condoms.
I absolutely despise Trojans. I've had so many of them break or slip and that was BEFORE I was on birth control. I've never had a Crown slip or break and I'm not exactly gentle on condoms.
Not to mention, the "Skinless Skin" condoms we use are pink.

My favorite would have to be Birds and Bees condoms.
03/01/2011
Trojan for sure.
03/01/2011
I didn't vote because my girlfriend and I have no need for condoms, but I think that ONE definitely have the best packaging.
03/01/2011
Hmmm I use a variety of condoms mostly Durex,Lifestyles,Troja n.
03/01/2011
I am not a fan of the ONE condoms. I think the packaging is super cute, but next to any kind of ridged condom I find them the most uncomfortable to use. Not sure why :/
03/01/2011
I go for brand names like trojan durex or lifetsyles!
03/03/2011
I can't stand Trojans... They're way overrated in my opinion. I get my condoms from The O!Zone Condom Shop near my house. Here's their website for anyone interested: link She carries a huge variety of them for really good prices. My favorite ones are from Norway! I don't know what they're called though... If I don't have a chance to get some from her, I usually buy a pack of ONE's. I have a big problem with spermicide so I've had the best luck with ONE.
03/10/2011
I have used other brands, but trojan is my first pick...Durex would be my second
03/24/2011
Durex! Trojans make his penis taste strange, which is not good for after sex blowjobs. Durex condoms leave his penis with a pleasant, very subtle, orange-y flavor. We have a great big Durex tin! It looks very nice and came with a variety of condoms plus a couple vibrating rings.
Every now and then we'll get a sampler of condoms, but we haven't done the blowjob test on all of them.

I pretty much have them all, I have durex, trojan, lifestyles, crown.
