Yeah, but a lot of Dollar Stores get things from out of the country that are NOT tested by the FDA. Ever seen some of the food in those places? I've seen what appears to be lead solder on cans of fruit from China.
Most things that come into the country are never checked by any agency of any type. And if the people who run these stores can get stuff off of a broken open box car from China or G*d knows where, they WILL sell it to you, FDA or no FDA. Even brand names on products at these stores are often counterfeits.
I would not trust eye makeup from the Dollar Store, it's probably old and contains cadmium or something. I certainly wouldn't trust my desire not to become pregnant to cheap, out of the country, poor standard condoms.
You can't know from places like this if the condoms were "FDA Approved." These stores are run on shoe string budgets, they sell expired food and non FDA OKed food that poisons people every day. NEVER would I trust anything I put in my mouth, on my face or into my body to a place like this. There IS something to be said for quality and having standards. Misplaced "thrift" can result in tragedy. And from the number of food recalls from Dollar Store food, and recalls for poisoned childrens toys and baby products, I trust nothing from those places.
