Honestly, I think they are roughly the same, I think it is the mistake of the people who have them often. A lot of people mix medications (sometimes illegal drugs that interact) or have unprotected sex before the medication has had time to take effect. A lot of people take antibiotics or eat meats that contain a lot of antibiotics (which were fed to the animals before slaughter) which increase risk of pregnancy.
Then, condoms are not always that effective and personally I would never rely only on a condom. They can tear so easily, break, be too old, you may not have the right size, they can slip off, etc. So to me, I think they are the least effective and most risky.
Personally I prefer the shot. I liked the pill, but my guy had an allergy to something in my vaginal secretions because of some ingredient in the pill, so I have to avoid it. I was on the shot prior to the pill for about 5 years, then I was off of it for a couple of years, now I'm back on it for about a year so far. I only need to get it every 3 months and as long as I avoid things that will interact with it, I don't need to worry about remembering to take it, wear it, bring it with me or make a mess putting it on

The Implanon has a perfect use and typical use failure rate of .04%. That's better than tubal litigation and vasectomy (.5% and .2%, respectively). One clinical study even rated it as 100% effective with none of the 2000 women getting pregnant in the 3 year study!
