First time with a new partner and fear of STI's

How do you ask a guy to get tested, I feel like that's such a weird and insulting thing to ask but I don't want to get any diseases you know? And the thing is I don't want to get into a relationship right now so this is kind of like a friends with benefits thing? So I feel like it's harder to ask than if we were actually dating.

I think it is even more important to check out someone you are not in a relationship with. You might want to say something like "Being safe is very important to me. Before we get involved, I think it is important that we both be tested and share the results." If he has a problem with being tested then find another friend with benefits. I think it is not weird or insulting if you just say this is your standard and that you are willing to be tested too. Worst case is he doesn't want to be tested so you find someone else to have sex with. It is not like you want a long term relationship with him anyway.

Awesome advice! And if he refuses to get tested, he might be hiding something.

No matter what, you should always feel comfortable having sex. Asking if he's been tested is good, but seeing proof is better.

Use condoms to protect yourself. I also take Lysine to help protect my cells down there, and keep them healthy.
