This is probably something better discussed with a medical professional. Medications affect everyone differently. Even if someone tells you that a certain drug didn't affect, say, their libido, it could still affect yours if you take it. Also, a drug that doesn't have sexual side affects is useless if it isn't effective in treating your depression and anxiety. Truthfully, most anxiety and depression medications have the potential for sexual side effects, so only you and your doctor can determine what would be best for you.

Pretty much this exactly. If you're unhappy with the way that your body is affected by your medication, bring it up to your doctor and start trying new medications.

Talk to your doctor - not only do a lot of drugs just not work well on certain people, but the way they work can change as well. And a good doctor will listen to your complaints and adjust things based on them because it's the job of a mental health professional to work with your toward bettering your life - not making it more stressful, painful, or difficult.

I was happy as ANYTHING on Wellbutrin for months and out of the blue it threw me into clinical depression (worse than the case it was treating), doubled my anxiety even while on Xanax, and is throwing the small case of OCD I have into overdrive. It's also producing signs of 'mania', which is the up and down roller coaster w/ really high highs and really low lows, as noticed by a friend of mine who also has psychiatric issues and is therefore sensitive to them. I am officially off of it as of today and something new is being prescribed tonight after I sit down with my doctor to see which route we want to go with now.

It takes time to tweak and find out what really works for you. It's a tedious process but when you find what works, it's worth it - quality of life is everything.

I got like a really high happy on wellbutrin but it didn't help my sex drive. But let me tell you coming off that stuff is hell, I spent a week in the bathroom puking and laying in bed.

Right now I manage my anxiety depression with xanax. I only take a quarter of one if I have to have to have to. I hate the stuff. I feel it works best for me right now.

Niravam is supposed to be good. But its a xanax immediate fix type of deal. It doesn't stay in your system as long though, which is a plus.

Everyones different so it's really hard to say when it comes to medicine. I haven't had any luck medicine wise even after dozens of different kinds, but my body is different than yours. Just talk to your doctor and try different ones, see which ones work. But remember to give the medicine an opportunity to work. It's not going to work overnight. Some take a few months to kick in and see how side effects will effect you.
