Anyone have experience with urethral play? How did you get into it? I'm incredibly curious about the sensation, but also am slightly hesitant. Any advice for someone who thinks they might want to try it?

I know that this isn't the answer you're looking for, but if you're planning on going ahead with it, do a LOT of research on the medical side of things. I'd even recommend talking to your doctor. Inserting things in your urethra (aside from the pain, which obviously isn't the point here) can cause scar tissue, strictures, loss of sensation, increased risk of infection, incontinence or other problems with urination (retention, frequency, hesitancy, nocturia (having to get up to pee at night) and more). And that's not even considering the possibility of serious trauma.

Just be very, very careful and make sure that you're well informed by reputable sources if you do decide to go through with it.

I don't have anything to add to this discussion - except that I agree 110% with your advice. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should

Wise words. I have researched it and can say I will be passing on the experience. Nothing to scare you away from something like a doctor's advice

I have been sounding for many years and have suffered no ill effects. You do need to take precautions and keep your toys and yourself clean while playing. Don't start like I did with whatever you could find, use actual equipment designed for urethral play. I started so long ago that I didn't have access to the internet as readily as now, so I guess I was lucky in the beginning. As with any different sexual play there are always potential negative side affects. Perhaps anal and oral play at one time may have been considered unsafe, that doesn't stop many people from doing it. I know this is an older post that I am reviving, I just wanted others from the EF forums to know that urethral play can be safe and very fun with proper safeguards.
