Ideal Masturbation Sleeve Material?

Contributor: Owl Identified Owl Identified
I checked the forums but couldn't find anything specifically addressing this. What do you feel the most perfect material is for a masturbation sleeve in terms of both comfort, sensation and cleaning.

My partner and I try to do silicone for most of our soft toys, but we figure most 100% silicone sleeves would be a little bit too firm and uncomfortable for him, especially because he's above average in size. We assume TPR or TPE is the best?

For those of you out there that like masturbation sleeves, Fleshlights, all that jazz, what material is your toy(s) made out of and how do you feel about it? How's the cleaning for you and how long has it lasted it? How does it feel? I'm trying to get a sense of what kind of product I should get for my partner's next masturbator. Thanks for your help

My two fav's right know are the Maven and the flip hole black from Tenga.

I have had the Maven since March and use it maybe once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. I like the feel of the Elastomer, I would not say it feels life like but it does feel good. Very squishy and provides good suction. The only problem (for some) is the nubbs on the inside are tearing loose. For me it has added to the texture and has made it better all around. As far as cleaning I turn it inside out and wash with Climax burst, towel it off and store it away. Some recommend some cornstarch but I never have. With the maven you can use water and silicone based lube so the Maven can be used in the tub.

The flip hole I have only had for a short while so I can not comment on the long term. The TPR feels more like skin, when warmed. Easy to clean, due to the design but a dust magnet. Still a quick rinse in warm water and a pat down with a towel and you have a warm hole to do the deed with. I would say that the TPR will last longer but not positive. Only water based lube for the flip hole, so no tub fun.

My Jack grip was made of Sil-a-gel was pretty good and easy to clean. It has the added bounus of being anti-bacteria. It felt really good and real close to real skin.

The Cyberskin stroker, Climax gems aquamarine I have was OK but the material has started to rip and tear after a short time. If it's cheap then it's a good material to go with, just don't expect it to last.

Just my two cents. Hope it helps.

I have only the fleshlights so I cant speak for other brands, but I love them. The material is great, very stretchy, cleaning is easy, and I have not had one Fleshlight go bad on me In the Couple years I have had them.

We have a collection of Fleshlights and several TPR and TPE sleeves. No silicone ones yet.

Fleshlights are in a class by themself. They feel the most realistic and large enough for the above-average size guy, which is good, but are harder to warm up than TPR or TPE, which is bad. It's kind of gross thinking about the "water only" cleanup thing, so we have used alcohol a few times on them. I think our oldest one is like 1-1/2 years, and it's still in excellent shape.

TPR and TPE are good because they warm up better and you can use soap on them, but they're not as realistic feeling as some of the Fleshlights. As for the longevity of TPR/TPE, it really depends on the manufacturer. We've had them last for just a couple of uses, on up to 2 years. Some are insanely sticky, and some aren't at all. Overall, TPR seems to last a little better than TPE though. Two of the better ones we have are the Tenga Fliphole and the Si-x N sleeve from Toy's Heart.
