How do you respond to testicular pain?

If you have a pain in a testicle or maybe a lump on the epididymis, something thats not an obvious emergency but worrying none the less, how do you respond?

I panic like a kid in a haunted house and flip the frack out.

Has yet to happen so I did not vote. If/when it does I would first call my mom as she is a nurse. Then I may search the web for info and then decide if a Dr visit is in order. I HATE Dr's and avoid them at all costs unless absolutely necessary.

has not happened to me, but I would call the nurse like we do most of the time. Then go to the doctor if need be.

From a nurses point of view, I'd rather you panic and get it checked, then wait until there is a bigger problem.

Use webmd or ask my mom (nurse), then get it checked at a doctor's. As long as there wasn't anything critical from the first two sources, no reason to panic until a professional told me it was bad.

Web Md usually misdiagnoses as some kind of more serious, obscure disease. I don't trust it diagnosing. Only use it for researching something you already know you have! Last time I tried to look my sinus symptoms cancer and aneurysm were in the top 5 possibilities!
