Male PC muscle exercises do allow me a little better control over orgasms and do help make orgasms stronger. However, I've never heard of them giving stronger erections.

I do a pelvic floor based workout every day, not exactly kegels, as I didn't experience kegels alone as very effective.
I do a blend of cantienica, vigorrobic, taoist pelvic floor exercise and yoga.
Yes, I have much harder errections, I like it. And more intense orgasms.
If you want to cure premature ejaculation it's important to add some relaxation techniques as progressive muscle relaxation or yoga.
You can expect first results after a period of about 8 weeks, so you need patience.

I do kegles all of the time. I have noticed no improvment in function, but I have not noticed any loss eather. Is just a good idea to exercise and keep muscles strong. Having strong PC muscles increases core strength and reduces wear and tear on the low back.
