So was wondering if anybody else deals with this at all. Feeling like you have to pee after orgasming but can't. I've learned that if I go to bed right afterwards I don't have this issue but if I move around and do other stuff then I do. Anybody have similar issues?

The only time this happens to me is when there is still some cum in my penis. I just 'milk' it and the feeling will go away.

I don't think I've had a feeling like this.

It has to do with the muscles near the prostate. During orgasm they cut off the urethra so that no urine (except the trace present in the urethra) mixes with the semen. It can take a while for them to relax and "reset" after ejaculating, and if you need to urinate it won't work.
Your body can also be misreading some of the signals (orgasm does a lot to the urogenital system) as you needing to urinate as well.

My Man complains about this, and as a woman, I have it to a less extent.

When one is aroused, and has a erection, there is a valve that closes off the bladder from the penis (or the urethra in women) to prevent one from urinating during sex. Sometimes, even after ejaculation, it takes a while for the little valve to re-open. I've heard My Man making frustrating noises from the bathroom after sex, as he really has to go, and can't get the valve to open.
Relaxing is the best thing to do. But it is easier said than done.
It happens to me sometimes, and I just sit there until I can urinate. It seems to be more pronounced in men, however, as they are more likely to ejaculate.

Thanks Scott. You're full of such useful information. That makes sense.

I hate that sensation. i also hate how you cant get a good laminar flow if you try to force the issue to soon. makes aiming impossible.

I used to experience this when I was younger and first started masturbating. Not so much anymore though.

when receiving oral after i cum he has to stop or i will. it suxs cause the sensitivity is awesome. i bet if i didn't have to pee i could pass out from the sensation. if im doing anything else i never get that feeling and don't have to stop.

As a female, yea sometimes right after I want to pee but it takes a loooong time.

I do, but when the urine finally comes, it helps clear out the semen for round 2!

Ah, the post-coital pee impoundment. Happens to me every time. I stand in front of the toilet for a minimum of 3-5 minutes before anything comes out. Sitting down, while more comfortable, makes peeing impossible after sex-- must be the additional pressure on the urethra or something. To make it worse, even when I don't actually have to pee, it feels like I have to, so I'll stand there and wait to no avail sometimes. Of course, absolute worst of all, when I finally get to pee, there's the strong possibility of the split stream occurring. My aim is great the rest of the time, but there's no telling what direction the pee is going to go when the split-stream happens.

I'm going to show this to my wife, she can't understand how I miss sometimes and I tried to explain this to her and she didn't believe me! One of the worst feelings there is, like you, it happens every time.

Happens every time to my husband. It is perfectly normal, like others have said. Happens to me as well sometimes. Just have wait it out for a few minutes and slowly the trickle will come.

The funniest thing is that I had no idea it was so common. See, I have a chicken pox scar on the tip of my penis, and it has deformed the end of my urethra, so I figured that was what was going on. Then, of all places, I was watching "Family Guy" on TV, and there was a gag about the post-coital sex stream. It was hilarious, and I discovered that it is apparently quite common.

I can't pee right away. Have to stand there for a minute or so relaxing myself down there and then it works.

i went to use the bathroom after sex one day and my husband was standing there trying to go, but he made the comment that nothing was coming out. He stood there for 5mins give or take a bit(seemed like forever for me cuz i had to go also) before anything would come out.

Sometime we deal with this but now I usually have a bottle of water ready for the both of us it works for us.
