Erectile Dysfunction

Contributor: Hawk Hawk
My boyfriend and I have a great "sex" life, but it's missing the actual sex. Since viagra is too expensive and he's pretty cautious about taking any type of pill, we haven't had sex since we started dating over a year ago. While this isn't a huge problem for me since he compensates very well with amazing oral and finger-skills, but I'm more concerned for him.

He is able to get an erection, just not maintain it. I'm usually able to get him to cum either with a hand-job or blow-job, but it's not always possible to finish since he'll just start going soft. I've heard cock rings can help keep it hard, but I'd really like to hear from someone who has actual experience on this topic. Being able to have sex again would be great, but even the small improvment of being able to keep him hard through the entire experience would be great too...

So my questions are: "Do cock rings really make a difference?"; "Which type of cock rings would work best for this situation?"; and "Are there any other male sex toys, ext. that could help with this?". Any other advice would be great too!

Also note that he does not need to see a doctor about this. The cause is known.

My boyfriend and I had this problem toward the beginning of our relationship. He's diabetic and his blood sugar was too high AND one of his diabetes medications was lowering his testosterone levels, making it very difficult for him to maintain an erection without constant stimulation, if at all. He had tried the prescription drugs before he was with me and had very very bad reactions and no positive results from any of them, so I don't blame your man for being wary. They might look like little prescription miracles, but they're not for everybody.

Since I wasn't into the whole injection thing, we used a cock ring until we had his diabetes issues resolved. The thin ones never worked. The ones that went around his balls as well as his penis never worked. What worked best were ones (that I unfortunately have not found on here) that were a firm TPR material and were about 3/4" wide and 1/2" thick. They worked very well actually and allowed us to have vaginal sex and the closest thing I've found on here, looks-wise, are the sexagon enhancers. I actually just ordered one recently because he still has off days, and can let you know how it works in comparison once I get it.

I'm also most comfortable with these - as opposed to a metal or a stone material because if it were to ever get stuck or become a problem it can be cut off of him. And remember not to keep it on him for more than 20 minutes - it's marked that way on most packages. Also, if it ever causes pain, take it off right away. They worked best for us if I got him fully hard, usually with oral sex, and then put it on - it would hold the blood in his penis and allow him to stay just as hard while penetrating me as he would if I were just using my hand or my mouth - which like with your man, were always less of an issue and easier than actual sex.

If you have any other questions, feel free to message me

A cock ring is useful and certainly worth trying but they will not provide the same level of benefits that you can get with Viagra, Levitra & Cialis. It's hard for me to believe that someone with them level of ED will not take care of the problem.

Outside of age, the two major biological causes of ED are clinical depression and heart disease - he should be checked by a doctor.

good luck

I wouldn't do that. You don't know what you're getting. Drugs that are sold online could be coming from Mexico or South America where drug contamination is common or they could just be making placebos that look like Viagra to make a buck. Don't trust this method. (That and they'll probably spam you email for the rest of your life.)

I would think about maybe trying a pump, rather than a cock ring, see if that works. Just out of curiosity, how is your husband's physical fitness?

I would be very careful with many of these sites. Some of them are scams, and some are watched by the DEA and the FDA (those who promise controlled substances, like Darvocet, or Percocet, etc) Also, I know a few people who have gotten their pills and it was NOT Viagra or anything like it. One older gentleman I know sent his pill to a lab, and it was analyzed and it was nothing but re-formed aspirin, died blue in the shape of a Viagra.

Good cautions - but honestly if you find a reputable supplier - mine come from a very well known generic-pharma company in India and I find the quality quite good. Each shipment comes with the potency test results. I've been using them for 2+ years & I'm very satisfied.

I have this problem right now with my boyfriend. He started taking antidepressants about a year into us dating. Our sex life was great until he started taking these meds. Now he barely has a sex drive, and when we do have sex, he cant stay hard and he cant cum. We have tried cock rings, they didnt help us. He said he didnt like it. Basically in order for us to have sex, he has to not take his meds for a few days, we have sex and then he goes back on them. Thats the only way he can keep his erection. Is he taking some kind of pills to effect him like my boyfriend is? I know we did buy some pills from the sex store called stiff nights and those helped him big time. They are a little expensive though, About 7$ per pill but they work. I wouldnt take them ALL the time though, you dont want him to become dependant on an outside source when hes so young.

Had this problem myself.

Mine was slightly more mental in that it was a new partner for the first time in years, but doing things physically helps reassure the mind.

a cock ring is a good way to stay harder longer. It get you past those spells where ur a lil tired but still wanna go. since he's new get a rubber or silicone. they expand and contract, so there easy to get off and on once u get the hang of it.

Tell him to add Zinc and iron supplements to his diet. They help with blood flow and cell health. if u need a lil more strength supplement wise, l-arginine and pycnogenol. Both aide artery and vein health and blood flow (and an erection is blood flow to the nethers). Also they clean up free radicals that kill cell regeneration.

My fiancee has had ED as long as I have known him. his doc prescribed levitra, at 17$ per pill. as that is way too expensive, we cant exactly get them as needed. but we popped into our local brick and mortar store recently, and I asked the cashier about all the "stay hard" pills they carry. She said stiff nights was her top seller, and at only 9$ per pill, we decided to give it a go. and it worked, like a dream. we were both totally skeptical, but it worked as advertised. At half the price of his prescription, I think it was totally worth it.

FIrst, if you are paying more than $30 a pill for Viagra at any pharmacy in the USA, you are way overpaying. Second, ED pills (Viagra, Levitra and Cialis) do not cause dependency.

The good news is that Viagra is scheduled to become a generic here in the states in another year or 2, unless Pfizer, the company who has the patent on Viagra, has their way. They are trying to block the patent expiration date.

I'm not trying to take over your yread. I have the same concern as well. My husband and I have had a wonderful sex life and we still do but he can not keep an erection sometimes as well and it didn't start until we started using cock rings like everytime and believe me we don't miss a day. Could the over use of the cock rings cause this? He's only 33 and I know I excite him as well as keeping him interested. Just wanted some advice before we head off to the Dr.

In best shape of my life but lost libido

It seems like you are doing all the right things to take good care of yourself. Have you had any recent physical exam from your primary physician?

Start with blood tests, look for hormone levels, let them know what is going on

Sex does not have to get boring in a long-term marriage. Sometimes I have to take pills to satisfy my wife. I have been taking Viagra for nearly 6 months, and I could see amazing results. cobra rezeptfrei bestellen - this generic does exactly what it says on the tin and is cheaper than viagra. Right dosage is the key.
