Circumcised! I know this might be more of a sexual thing, but just in general I don't like it because it is difficult to clean. So you can get other things from not being.
11/19/2012
I don't actually care lol, but I have more experience with circumcised guys

I always find topics like this interesting when it comes to the notion of what women prefer in this regard, especially since some will willingly admit they haven't even tried both, so....how would you know?
Speaking as an uncircumcised man, I wouldn't know which I'd prefer and this question isn't directly related to me, but I thought I'd give you some perspective. It is NOT difficult to clean; it's a flap of skin and you can rather damn easily fold it back and get soap and water in there. No, the process of cleaning it doesn't hurt like hell, look unnatural, an odd statement I hear plenty which puzzles me since it's the default male appearance sans surgery or tragedy, and if you're considered from an actual health standpoint, then you need to either find a more trustworthy partner or wear a condom.
If you're with a stranger, the condom, yours or his, really should be a default position anyways and even that isn't a 100% of protection. Condoms break, dental dams fail, and disease can spread regardless. Otherwise, I suppose if you like the "feel" of it better, then kudos to you in either choice, but please understand that for guys who have been sexually active and know the difference, having been circumcised later in life for various reasons, there is an obvious loss of both sensitivity and enjoyment as a direct result. How much can you enjoy anything if you can't feel it after all.
One last food for thought for those who've never seen one fully erect; the skin is folded back like an erect circumcised penis. My girlfriend can well confirm having experienced both.

I've never been with someone who was uncircumcised, so I have no basis of comparison. My guess is that it wouldn't matter enough to me to have a preference though.
Hmmm... maybe I need to find an uncircumcised guy so I can determine if I have a preference. For science you know

I never tried circumcised - so I would not really know. Dont think it would matter too much as long its a well-kept penis - However I loooove to watch the foreskin pulling back to reveal the hardening cock.
So I guess if the feeling is the same I would prefer uncircumcised

My husband isn't circumcised, but his foreskin is short enough to the point that it looks like he has been. I'll admit that I prefer this look. Long foreskins just aren't for me. Of course, I thought hairy men weren't for me either, until my husband. I've grown to love all his body hair (aside from the daily vacuuming because he sheds like mad), and I would probably grow to love foreskins, had he a longer one.

I've only been with one guy and he was circumcised...but I think I'd prefer uncut if I was ever with a guy again. One, I've always been curious and two, I've heard that uncut guys have more sensation in their penises. I've always been grateful that they my circumcision is loose; I enjoy having some skin to play with.
The alleged benefits of circumcision are dubious and are minor at best. I think overall, it's just barbaric. If I have a son, I won't have him circumcised.

Thank you. Well said. There are tons of these polls and I always feel sad to see so many opinions that reveal how poorly informed and even prejudiced people are about uncircumcised penises (like mine by the way). Would a woman with longer vaginal lips have a dirtier or uglier pussy? Aesthetics are one thing, and anyone can have a personal preference, but don't mock it til you've tried it please.

Uncircumcised. I used to prefer circumcised because they look cleaner, but I've read about the effects of circumcision and such, and now they kind of freak me out. I've been with both and haven't noticed a difference for me, but because the most sensitive part of the penis is the tip of the foreskin, I've noticed that uncircumcised guys have way more fun, and thus I have a lot more fun pleasing them.

The results of this poll are a disappointing reminder that North Americans need more foreskin education, more so because contributors around here are enlightened about pthlalates, parabens, and g-spot orgasms but aren't aware of sexual pleasure of the foreskin.

It is what was taught in this country for years. There are generations of men who were circumcised because that is just what you did when you had a son. As such, many women have only known circumcised men. You generally prefer what you know. Now that there has been a backlash against circumcision, you will see the next generation of women prefer the natural man.

I have had experienced both and prefer my men to be as nature intended them to be...intact...with the foreskin. While I have noticed a difference between the cut vs intact and found intact to be more enjoyable for me the preference comes from finding it sexy as hell. I am also against routine circumcision. The foreskin is there for a reason, and it not unhygienic. As any male on here who still has their foreskin can attest to no special cleaning is needed. Merely retract back and soap and water.
In my sexual experience I have noticed that intact males seem to be more responsive to oral and hand jobs, and that during sex I seemed to get better G Spot stimulation. I have always said that either the intact males I was with had some damn good talent or maybe there is something there when it comes to foreskin.

I like the all natural look. also it's easier to jerk off a guy with foreskin. they all look the same when hard. and their more sensitive and don't need as much friction to get off(hand job/head), at least for my experience.

The issue of teasing was brought up in that thread. I have many male friends who are intact and they claim that teasing was never an issue for them. One of them said the worse peer reaction he ever got in the locker room was a guy taking a quick second look..beyond that no words were exchanged. Every single one has agreed that they are glad their parents kept them intact.

I'm disturbed and disgusted that 75% of poll respondents prefer circumcised over uncircumcised.
This is a website devoted to sex toys yet circumcision was popularized in North America as an effort to reduce masturbation and sexual behavior.
Many women come here to learn about sexual pleasure yet are oblivious to the fact that the foreskin has most of a penis' pleasure-providing nerve endings. The foreskin also has other important biological functions.
Women learn about G-spot orgasms and other nonclitoral orgasms yet are oblvious to the several kinds of male orgasm that can be achieved from stimulation of the foreskin and frenulum etc.
The arguments about hygiene are ridiculous: Women build up smegma under their labia majora yet no one in this thread is advocating surgical removal of the labia for good hygiene.
Can-Fap (gotta love the name) provides plenty of info about circumcision. And everyone should watch this video in its entirety to see what circumcision actually entails.

I am going to have to agree with you here. Quite a few of my male sexual partners were intact and not once did I ever find their hygiene to be lacking. They also seemed to be more sensitive and responsive. I wouldn't say that they didn't last as long, just that they seemed to have a heightened sense of pleasure. I also found the sex to be more enjoyable. When condoms were not used* there seemed to be less friction (if any) and never was lubricant needed for vaginal sex, even during repeat performances.

Some facts:
-Not ONE world health or medical organization recommends routine infant circumcision.
-Circumcision does not provide you immunity to diseases
-Circumcision does not prevent STD's/HIV
-Circumcision is not cleaner or healthier in any way
-You are not more likely to obtain a UTI from being intact
-Circumcision DOES effect sexual relations-everything from numbing, painful erections, to ED and more (Circumcised men are 4.5 times more likely to suffer from ED)
-Circumcision DOES have negative psychological impacts
-Circumcision is not just a little snip of skin. It is permanently amputating between 20-70 thousand fine-touch nerve endings resulting in permanent damage. This is compared to 8,000 nerve endings in the clitoris, and the skin removed is equal to the surface area of a 3x5" index card on an adult penis.
-Circumcision regularly removes a shocking 3/4 of the penis’ sensitivity through the removal of the ridged band, foreskin “lips,” and most often the entire frenulum.
-The American Cancer Society does NOT approve circumcision as a way to prevent penile cancer and even goes so far as to say that this is an irresponsible statement.
-An extremely rare chance of needing circumcision for medical reasons later on in life is NOT a valid excuse for circumcising all male babies. Amputating healthy, functioning body parts is not a form of modern preventative medicine.
-Approximately 117 neonatal circumcision-related deaths occur annually in the United States, yet we ban drop side cribs because of just a few?
-Approximately 5.1% of boys will have significant complications that will require treatment.
I always find it odd that people view male circumcision as fine yet if the tables were reversed and there was a thread advocating or at the very least people saying female circumcision is okay there would be a revolt. When it comes down to it both procedures are the same in the facts that it involves the removing of a piece of genitals of a minor child. Both procedures are claimed to be done for any of the following reasons :religious or cultural reasons, hygiene, or cosmetic.

Anyone who thinks circumcision is just a matter of hygiene should take a look at the following protest groups' sites: Bloodstained Men, Bay Area Intactivists. If you have friends with a newborn boy, spread the info about the truth of circumcision.

I honestly can't stand uncircumcised. I think it looks disgusting. Like a very sad sad snapping turtle.....

So would you have your clitoral hood surgically removed if a man said he couldn't stand it because it looked disgusting?

For me intact is sexy. It's natural, how men were meant to look instead of mutilated.

This topic saddens me. It seems that our American society is not only okay with mutilating infant males, but, encourages potentially uninformed parents to subject their newborns to unnecessary surgery. All for what, vanity? As many of the female members (no pun intended) have cited, they "prefer" it usually for looks.
I will admit there might be health issue regarding this issue, however, if the young man is taught how to maintain his personal hygiene, this isn't an issue.
Circumcision does have historical and religious roots within at least the Jewish community. For this reason, I understand the reason why Jewish families practice this, but other faiths/Agnostics/Athei sts why do this?

I'm uncircumcised. Woman don't even notice I'm uncut because if they ever see my penis for first time I would be erect. After first time sex they are shock after I'm not hard anymore and notice the skin not in bad way but because they didn't notice in the first place lol. When I'm erect my skin goes back and it looks circumcised. it is not difficult to clean it just depends on the person. I'm a very clean person in general. so if you been with someone who's penis smells or is dirty its not because of the skin its because of the person.

It depends on the tradition or religion of the country. I must say, I am born and raised in a country where a boy or young lad must be circumcised on or before 10 years old. There are also cases that a newborn baby boy will undergo circumcision during infancy with his parent’s discretion. Here, being uncircumcised is a threat to man’s pride. A good erection is seen on a Circumcised penis. It is more sexually appealing to girls if you are circumcised. Uncircumcised is like you are wearing a condom, and there are some health benefits between circumcised and uncircumcised

As a BI MAN, I can say from experience...
UNCUT IS BETTER!
UNCUT IS BETTER!

This topic always fascinated me.
As a virgin, obviously, I wouldn't know how to respond as I have zero experience with either.
However, over the years, I've heard my share of friends' experiences.
Most have told me it's more of an aesthetic preference than anything. However, the bulk of these women have also admitted they've never actually been with an uncut guy and are going strictly based off what they like watching in porn.
But the few friends who've had the opportunity to date uncut guys all claim that in fact, it does feel better. One friend is so convinced her experience with an uncut guy was better, that she only dates uncut guys.
As a side not, in my culture, we don't practice circumcision. So from a personal standpoint there's nothing wrong with being uncut. If people choose to leave their sons uncut they should be free to do so and not shamed or bullied into circumcising by doctors, etc. Just my thoughts.

Interesting seeing how many people think uncut is not clean or difficult to clean. I'm uncut and have never had a problem with that. It's really easy. Much easier to keep clean than a woman's genitals, I'd imagine.
I have never regretted or had problems with being uncut, and I do tend to prefer the look (it's what I'm used to). That being said, I did circumcise both my sons, simply because I live in the U.S. and that's what people are used to here.

Just as a "public service announcement" you know as in... "WHY we have so much circumcision here in the USA?"
From the Psychology Today article: "Circumcision: Social, Sexual, Psychological Realities"
In the United States, circumcision wasn't popularized until Victorian times, when a few doctors began to recommend it to prevent children from masturbating. Dr. Kellogg (of Corn Flakes fame) advocated circumcision for pubescent boys to stop masturbation...
When my son was born, I would NOT allow his penis to be mutilated just because "everyone else does it" and to put money in the OBGYN's pocket...
I personally consider it to be no different from the barbaric female circumcision.

I don't have anything to compare to, except toys, - my fiance is not circumcised. I must say it certainly does not affect hygiene - it depends on the person. As for forced circumcision - I come from a Jewish background, so, in my mind, it's more of a ritual than a medical procedure.
I would definitely not call it equal to female circumcision - the latest deprives women of the ability to have an orgasm, while male circumcision does not. All that being said, I must agree that anything "forced" shouldn't fly.

Consider your clitoral hood. If it were cut away and your clitorous continually exposed, as an adult that would be rather uncomfortable. If it were done as a child, the continuous rubbing on your clothing would "toughen" or more precisely result in the keratinization of the the skin of your clitorus. That might not result in hard calluses but it certainly would result in less overall felt sensation. That is exactly the result that males experience... diminished sensation.
Individuals who I have actually spoken to who have been engaging in foreskin restoration have told me, for example... One guy said that he could never orgasm from oral sex, just not enough stimulation. That is until he got far enough in his Restoration that his Glans was completely covered and stayed that way until he was fully erect. Sensation slowly returned with less keratinization of the skin of his Glans. Until, he could finally orgasm from his partner's oral attention alone.
Yes, I am an Intactivist.
If you want it done for religious reasons, then do it as an adult. (I'd like to see how many adults then do it for "god")
