Thanks to my girlfriend I now know that it is not "normal" for my penis to have two holes. Anyone else?
Anyone else have 2 holes? aka hypospadias

I take it that there is some skin that partitions the tip of the urethra and not that you actually have two sets of plumbing heading to holes? If it is the latter, that's pretty interesting.

You didn't know til then? Wow, I would think a doctor or your parents would have told you or at least mentioned it. I have never heard of someone having this naturally. I have heard of people splitting their penis to produce this however. This is very interesting!

I've heard about it before, but only once in a more extreme case where the man in question actually had 2 penises. There was one base and they split off from there, but the splits were fully formed. It's also been a very long time since I've seen anything on it tho.

I noticed it but I told myself it was normal. I figure my parents thought I would eventually ask about it and didn't want me to think I was strange when I was little. When I never asked I guess they just let it go. Other than when I was born I've never had to show a doctor my penis.

Huh. I've never heard of this. Learn something new every day!

I find it strange that a pediatrician never once performed a routine physical that included a genitourinary examination.

Yeah I do too :/. I wonder why. Maybe growing up in the south has something to do with it.

I've rarely heard of having two, but I do know of people born with a condition where the hole wasn't at the end of the penis but was instead the urethra came out on the top or bottom side of the penis. These cases were all corrected surgically at a very young age.

That's a new one to me but I love anatomy so I'm glad to learn something new about the human body.

That's a new one. I know in this part of the south a regular part of a well baby check includes a total strip down to check for diaper rashes or yeast infections. I thought most men had a full physical at some point around high school age, or at least the ones I've known have.

Never heard of that.

I don't think that what you're saying is true. For example, I just asked my brother and he is 26 and has never had to show a doctor his penis in his life. He has been to the doctor since grade school.

I just looked this up, very interesting. The human body can be so diverse, it's pretty incredible.

We were required to have a "full physical" every year in high school for sports, but for some reason that never included the "turn your head and cough" part.

Not saying THAT in depth. lol But they were asked to strip down and were examined as far as I know. It's interesting though, maybe your parents had an arrangement with your doctor?

My ex had hypospadia. His mother caught his when she was potty training him, she realized that the urine was coming out of multiple small holes along the urethra on the underside of his penis. They did surgery, and he has some very minor scarring.
If the second hole is toward the end, it may have been minor enough that a pediatrician didn't think surgery was necessary. I've heard that it makes you more prone to urinary tract infections though...
Anyway, I've seen hypospadia before. You're not a mutant! lol

I haven't brought it up with them to find out what exactly happened, but I think they probably noticed, and said if it became a problem they would fix it, but since nothing ever came of it they just let it go.

interesting

Hmm...I've never heard of this before. Interesting.

I worked at a pediatric clinic in Georgia and the doctors did genitourinary examinations.... I don't think the region you live in (unless in another country) has anything to do with it

Geez - pretty rough having to stripe down and be examined throughout school.
They don't treat anyone like that over here. Thankgoodness! That's a privacy issue and I would refuse!

I have never heard of this at all and seems interesting. Does not surprise me though because im sure there is things like this all over the world.

I haven't seen that before but there are a lot of unique things we all can have so I'm not surprised.

I've never heard of this. May I ask, does this affect any ability to urinate, or ejaculate...? Just curious!

Nope not for me. I was lucky and mine didn't cause any problems so surgery wasn't necessary.
